It's been 20 years since the Goophers beat the Hawkeyes at Kinnick! LAST MILLENNIUM! They can resume their historic season AFTER the boat they're rowing springs a leak in Iowa City!

Since I'm not from around there I have to ask, is this a typo or an editorial comment on their results for the last few years?

It's a dig on the Gophers.
You'll also see it alternatively spelled Goofers.

They had hyped that Ithaca/Cortand matchup at MetLife Stadium as the game to set the Division III single-game attendance record. When I looked at the video feed a few minutes ago it certainly doesn't look like they did! Hoping Bethel can hand St Thomas another loss! Mount Union beat Rose-Hulman AT Rose-Hulman to open the season 66-14. Can the Johnnies get as large of a lopsided win against the Fighting Engineers as the Purple Raiders did?

I doubt they will try-erdmann should be pulled shortly into the 3rd if SJU is up big.
Also remember Mount had only their travel squad-not 200 players available.

I've got a 1946 Winchester 30-30 as well.
Nothing worth hunting here in Southern California.
I can hit any watermelon my friends can with their scopes.

So the MIAC is a tie?

Gonna give a shout out to my Cobbs who salvaged a little something out of this past season by clawing back into a tie for 4th in the conference. The year's highlight is obvious. Lowlight was actually the loss to GAC, as that game had been won with a minute remaining and GAC pulled one out of the hat. In the end, the lack of any hint of a passing game cost the Cobbers dearly this year. Being "run oriented" is one thing, but being run dependent is another. Maybe next year...

Time to pull for the Johnnies now, which is always a bit of a compromising position, but so it is. I'll always say "Go Johnnies". (Most of the time I'll add a destination though  ;D)
If the human brain were so simple that we could fully understand it...we would be so simple that we couldn't.

"in the game with the highest paid attendance in Division III football history[.]"

I wonder if some wealthy alums bought up a bunch of cheap tickets to get this designation?

Minnesota's boat sprung a leak on their trip to Kinnick! Go Hawks! Best of luck to Minnesota from now through the end of the season!

Yeah well, Iowa is not 9-1. Minnesota is. Nate played very well and I'm happy for him.
Dropped passes, poor tackling in the first half, missed kicks and lose by 4. Not many teams would win in Iowa City without a complete game
Know what I have to say after this game?

This is a good team and I love to support them.

1 TD for Bethel in 8 quarters against SJU & UST. Woof! I though the Tommie D (especially the secondary) was vulnerable too. Erdmann and Veldman sure made them look like it.

Solid finish for UST today. A two score win with a backup QB

The MN QB is a short fella but he slings the ball well.  And only a sophomore.  I bet MN does pretty well in the recruiting over the next few years.  Seasons like this where even the bad games look good are high impact.  Plus, I like the uniforms a lot.  With the colors and the shiny helmets they look like Roman legionaries.

Oshkosh takes a 14-13 lead over Whitewater into the half.

Win at Nortwestern and then beat Wiscy at home, 11-1 playing in Big 10 Championship game.
Today is one game they could have won. Growing pains.
Enjoy the ride. People want to get to the last page too quick.
