If St John's can defeat Aurora, will they be the road team to face the winner of the Chapman/Linfield game or will that be determined by who wins between Chapman/Linfield?

I believe we are the 3rd seed and Chapman is the 2nd.  Linfield wins, they come here.  Assuming we win...

So the Aurora QB has thrown like 51 TDs, against the likes of macalaster and hamline, but still lots of tds. Maybe like that guy Tanney from Monmouth a few years ago.

Watch next weekend be a 20 degree blizzard when two air attacks go against each other.

Alex Tanney has had a 7 year NFL career, and had the strongest DIII arm I have seen in two decades plus of watching. I know very little about the Aurora QB, but find that comparison to be a reach. Maybe someone like Frisell from Augie a few years back. A decent qb in a quirky offense on a bad team. SJU could play their 3's and 4's all game and win this game comfortably.

I just meant from the perspective of throwing lots of TDs-I wasn't very clear.

Just some additional info FWIW...Aurora's QB was 27-39 and 333 yards against us (Hope) in our 34-32 win against them earlier this season.  Their RB had 67 yards rushing in 14 carries (4.8 average).  They are a quick/fast team.

The following teams in today's d3football.com Top 25 did not make the field of 32.

#11 John Carroll (9-1)
#14 St Thomas (8-2)
#15 Susquehana (9-1)
#16 Hardin-Simmons (8-2)
#19 Bethel (8-2)
#25 UW-La Crosse (7-3)

The following two teams made the playoffs, but dropped out of the Top 25.

#20 Case Western-Reserve (9-1)
#22 Brockport (8-2)

Both of those teams received votes as did Hope & Hanover who also made the field of 32.

The preliminary weather report is that it will be similar to yesterday's nicer weather here; sunny with some clouds, no wind, but slightly colder (high 30s, low 40s).  However, we all know that could change anytime before Saturday, especially with the big lake effects.  I do hope it is not another "Snow Bowl" playoff game as has happened sometimes! :)

Almost hoping for a Chapman win. And a Johnnies win of course.

And in the Wheaton bracket, tough but winnable

Is the bracket published yet?  Those sound like a good first two rounds.

Not sure...in car trying to follow. Assuming that Linfield is a lower seed than SJU.

I'll be out in Oregon for Thanksgiving. If that happens, I may have to join a Linfield meetup to watch.

I think SJU got about as good a draw as they could have hoped for given geographic constraints. Should be fun to watch it all unfold.

I concur....NO disrespect to any one in our Bracket, but I like the odds better when we wouldn't face UMHB, MU, OR UWW in the same bracket until the final 4....I think SJU can hang with any team if they play up to their talent.

I'm to lazy to go back and find it, but I do remember stating the fairly obvious 5 weeks ago.  St. Olaf, which started 5-0, would finish 5-5... lol   and I live in Northfield... I get a lot of looks at the gas station and grocery store with a SJU Football sweatshirt on or my SJU Football license plate..   ;D
