The average first round score of all teams last year was 44-10. Both those scores might be low. Massey has the score at 45 SJU vs 19 Aurora. I can believe the 19...maybe...but SJU should score more. Aurora gave up 23 ppg in a weaker schedule. SJU gave up 11 ppg. I don't know Duffman's technical definition of a Double Monkey Stop above, but it might be that.

Monkey Stomp = 21 point win
Double Money Stomp = 42 point win

Maybe someone can share the official guide?!?!

Yep, stomps are multiples of 21, and then a stompout would be 21-0 (through 41-0) and a double stompout is 42-0, etc.

I think there were more exotic combinations as well, but I would have to defer to the LLPP on that.

Someone here (Oz, perhaps) has the definitive guide to Stomps.

It goes way back to 2003 when the JOHNNIES hosted RPI in the semifinals.  :)

Let's go Johnnies! The playoffs are here! Cheers to all of the posters on the board!

Tight game between Chapman and Linfield.  It will be another half before we know if we're travelling or hosting next week.

WOW! Did not see that type of game coming! Stressful, but entertaining as hell. Did I hear right? We have Aurora on the schedule next fall? Do we know our other non-conference opponent?
Sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

That was fun to watch! Thanks for a super entertaining game!

The Tommies scored 56 in 1986. Haven't looked through entire archives but as far as I know that's most points an opponent has scored in Collegeville. But that Johnnie team was .500. Considering what this SJU defense was like this year, this has to be best offensive performance ever by an opponent in Collegeville. (Ballard's dissection at Mount Union in '93 probably most impressive ever vs. Johnnies.)

Wow, what a game.  Aurora played spectacular football and were the most dangerous team I can recall seeing for a long, long time.  Thank God the Johnnies offense is so potent and that Erdmann is such an utter clutch champion.  The Johnnies have had some clutch champions in their day but Jackson must be threatening the top of that list as well.  I can think of only one that stands above him, he who stood tallest in the biggest game.

EDIT: I reckon that Erdmann and Barber of two the tallest "follow me, boys!" players I have seen in a long time.  Neither quits and both deliver when the pressure is highest.  Spectacular men.

I can feel you watching the "only game in town."
You did your job, were in a struggle to do ours.
