Impossible to argue that, but other than Elliott I'll come at you with Tom Linnemann all day long.  8-)

Oh, yeah, Linneman, too.  The Jays have fortunately had a very long list of clutch players over the years.

Now that's a time warp.  The post I'm quote is after the post where I quote it.  Mysteries of deleting on the Internet.

Maybe it will be a little closer than many think.

Nah.  I think Zimbleman is gonna spend a lot of time on the ground.  The Johnnie defense is gonna be far superior and faster than anything the Aurorites have seen.  I'm calling for a Double Monkey StompTM.  Phone it in.

Duffman,

Your call was dropped!😮🙂Guess it wasn't quite the DMS you predicted, was it?!🙄🙂 That said, it appears it was an extremely exciting game to watch from what others have mentioned here, which, unfortunately, is much more than I can say about our (Hope's) implosion today. Anyway, good luck to your SJU the rest of the way.

Outstanding football entertainment, one of the best games I've watched featuring two QB's w ice in their veins and a couple supper stud receivers. Your #3 is simply awesome. Congratulations to the Johnnies on showing incredible poise.

In truth, I feel there were times in the third quarter where it seemed Beebe was trying to slow the game down in order to get his team in the exact position they ended up- having the ball for the last drive of the game. The problem was the timeouts.
Although I was pulling for a Johnnie victory, I was hoping Aurora would have spiked the ball to set up one last shot at the endzone.

Wow, Chapman just scored on a TD pass to take the lead with a minute to play but the ref blocked the Linfield defender from making a play.

EDIT: But Linfield are dropping passes left and right, so...

EDIT II: But then the Linfield TE makes a crazy catch, so...

EDIT III: But then Linfield drops another pass that hits the receiver in the numbers, so...

EDIT IV: Down to 9.4 seconds, Linfield with a third down on the Chapman 12, so...

EDIT V: Linfield's fireplug rushes it into the endzone to tie up the game, so...

EDIT VI: Whew!  High snap, slow kick, brushing the upright but it gets through the sticks.  We're going to overtime, so...

EDIT VII: And Linfield are on their way to Collegville.

Eating a lot of crow for dinner thinking this Aurora team would provide some flair but would eventually get tired of being battered. They knew how to throw some haymakers and certainly did. I now understand what having to defend Erdmann to Gillach looked like watching Zimbelman to Maxwell.

Certainly don't like to see your defense get shredded, but did make stops when they needed. Crazy to watch the offensive and defensive adjustments throughout the game.

Erdmann and Barber made big plays and showed senior leadership. Gotta give props to Alston and Hodge. Both made clutch catches (ones that have been dropped this season) and stepped up big time (has to be a confidence booster). Outside of the penalty to kill one end zone score the offense looked sharp. Still think we need to do a better job of just taking what the defense gives us.

We made a field goal.

Disappointed in the students who thought it would be funny to take Aurora's flag. Not exactly Johnnie-like.
