Erdmann and the OL were obviously very impressive against the Wheaton D,
but Heckendorf is a subtle star from this game as well. Perfect play calls dialed in at the right times when Wheaton was bringing heat. He's ready for a big time OC job at a high level. I could see him calling plays in the Missouri Valley soon.

Hopefully the lure of the pine trees and evening loon call keep him in Collegeville.

What a great game in Wheaton yesterday!!  We had the visitor stands filled beyond capacity and we were loud and proud.

Two great teams battled for three hours that resulted in one of the best SJU playoff games I have ever witnessed and I have witnessed many.  Congrats to Wheaton for a great game.  Those players left it all on the field.

Now onto WW for a rematch of old foes.  Saturday can't come soon enough!

GO JOHNNIES!!!
Go Johnnies!!!

Size-wise I think we stack up pretty well with UWW. We lack size in depth, particularly on the D-Line but our starters are pretty close. Just a little smaller than theirs. Hopefully this doesn't mean we get brutalised in the trenches like we have in years past by the cheese-fed brutes. Particularly our defensive linemen. Hopefully they have the speed and strength to work around the fleet of o-line bruisers that whitewater carries.

Did the website get hacked?  I keep getting bad certificate errors and that it's unsecure?

Back, up and running.

Thanks, you guys!  I thought I was crazy and botched up my phone when those same messages kept coming up.  I just wasted the last 1 hour trying to fix it on my phone (and home computer) and then all of a sudden, it is back up and running like you said.  A big relief!  I just hope I didn't screw up anything else on my phone or computer by trying to do that! ::) :)

Unless I'm remembering wrong, wasn't that the first time all season that the Johnnies have been outscored in the second half? With all the talk about Swider, let's give them credit for turning the tables on us.

I too got the unsecured DANGER WILL ROBINSON message.

Watched the SJU post-game highlight reel, and I couldn't help but think how happy I am for Gary, particularly in that moment where he's with the team in the post game huddle (around the 3:37 mark). So much has been made of Fasching stepping in the shoes of a legend. I get it. It's a huge story. But, I think you can see how he's transitioned from the Gagliardi era and this is unambiguously his team, and I think it's great. What a win on Saturday against a great Wheaton team. Here's to the semifinal and attempting to exorcise some old demons down in Whitewater! Go Johnnies!

Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Watched the SJU post-game highlight reel,
Wow, looked like another easy 50-0 win and the coach gave no credit to the other team    ::) ::) ::)

Today is the last day to vote for your Gagliardi candidate!  :)  :P

Told some folks last week that I wasn't so sure that heading back to Belton might not have been a better draw for the Jays ... and nothing  I saw Saturday (especially the second half) swayed my opinion. Great team and program he has built there and his kids really responded.
