If D1 goes to conference games only in the Fall, the one Non-conference game I was looking forward to was the Bison traveling west to play the Ducks. Oregon returns a ton from a really good team last year and will be a Top 10 team. It could either be the ultimate piece of humble pie for the LOUD Bison fans or it could validate them to even more extreme levels. They have knocked off Power Five teams in the past, but not one with the hype and talent returning like Oregon.

I think it was the Navy AD that discussed the Army game along with the Notre Lame game as possible casualties.  The issue with Independents would be a huge challenge.  I guess the Independents could play each other.

Losing those guarantee games is going to hurt programs. That's a big paycheck.

Why is Oz surprised? This is happening all over the U.S. as well in areas where the peak is past or wasn't very bad. Lots of states have announced phased openings. Yes many have announced continuing stay at home orders but they are typically the ones with hot spots and higher density areas. I just dont understand why this is some amazing revelation. It was always the plan.

Hey, mate, stick it where the sun doesn't shine.  You can leave the personalisation out of this.  Stay locked quivering in your cave if you want, demonstrating the same courage there that you do here.  It's only because posting has been down that your cowardly attack when you knew I wasn't here see it didn't fall off the front page.

Really?

Yeah. Huh...

Morning guys, if you haven't listened to the D3 podcast yet, some nice words concerning Ben Bartch, and some interesting information about the upcoming fall season.

It would be a good year to take Army - Navy to the campus setting. West Point might have one of the most majestic college football sites in the country. Even with a limited crowd of cadets, it would be a great scene.

Notre Lame? Ouch, but funny.

Speaking of switching it up, do any of you fish up in Canada? That sure is a tough situation for the camp operators.

I've got a few friends that go up to fly in lodge annually regularly.  I can't imagine what this will do to them.  I need to make a decision fairly quickly about going dove hunting in Argentina next year.  The travel issues are making that a tough decision.  I still am planning on my opening weekend dove in Texas and Wisconsin fishing trips this fall.

Fishing in NW Ontario has been an annual event for my family for 10+ years now.
Many camps are owned by Americans, and of course they are in the dark as to whether they'll be allowed up to prepare for the season/some part of the season. As you can imagine, there is a lot of prep work to get a camp ready. Minnesota resorts may end up benefiting from some of the fishing trip business.

WOW! Some MN fishing seasons open on Saturday and nobody talks about it?
I know Duff is ready for it.  :)
Age old question:  Red worms or nightcrawlers?

Haven't even thought about it, 57.  I generally don't fish on opener, and I don't have a boat right now.  Plus, it looks downright cold for Saturday.  I'll just continue to hang out at home...

I have no plans to go fishing, but, as an act of solidarity with those who are going out, I will be sure to enjoy some beer.

The best kind of worms are the ones we used to dig up in Grandpa's garden, and I will hear no counterarguments :p

I've only bought nightcrawlers.  Now I primarily fly fish which used to be open year round in Minnesota.  I haven't seen the current regulations in some time.  It is good to know Minnesota still values fishing unlike some other places.

Tennessee will open all campuses for in classroom school this fall.  I put the MIAC at a 90% chance of playing the conference schedule this year. Fingers crossed. I really want to fly back for the final Johnnie/Tommie.

If the game does go on, I wonder if there is any chance it gets shifted back to campus? Maybe if it's played in front of a limited crowd (family and d3boards posters only).
