Lifted from a Bethel communication: "We are eagerly planning for students to return to campus this fall. ... While we don't know with certainty what the fall will look like, we are actively preparing for a scenario that would allow us to resume face-to-face education. We are grateful for guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Department of Higher Education, and our colleagues at the other private colleges in Minnesota."

It's beginning to look like there might be students on campus this fall, which means there will most likely be some kind of a football season. Waiting and watching.

I live alone, I live in a dumpy town (Alliance), I'm old, the weather sucks (I'm watching snowflakes fall) and I don't fish. I don't camp and I drink cheap beer. I can't eat out or visit a local pub because of that damn covid-19. Mount Union is, of course, closed.

One of the things that helped keep me reasonably sane, in view of the above, was the banter on this board. Sometimes heated, sometimes informative and sometimes just a good discussion. But always, fun to read and ponder over!

Now! Where is everybody? Help an old guy! Talk football, fishing, why Australia is different, when schools may open - ANYTHING! This is the best board on Dlll.

Thank you in advance for your consideration. I'm going to get a beer. Got a good deal on a six-pack. They actually paid me to try it out. Have you guys ever heard of "Home Depot Deluxe Lager"? Has a kind of oily taste but not bad. (They recommend you eat something when drinking it).

The weather here is bad and it looks like I may need the rain gear for Wednesday evening golf league. It appears that we may be turning the corner by the weekend.

Meanwhile at a local Twin Cities TV station a long time meteorologist, who is "one of us"...native Minnesotan, was recently fired for breaking the company social media policy. To make matters worse, another meteorologist at the same station resigned in protest of his co-worker being fired. So, we may not have any weather reports for the next several months.....
