Cool pictures.  I assume Johns could make field goals that year?

I'm old enough to remember 1965, when SJU beat some team by 11 FGs for the national title, D.O.C.  ;D.

Thanks for the additional photos, Repete!
"Upon further review".... I made a few errors:
#62 LG is Steve Glocke
#67 RG is, indeed, the legendary Dan Dorgan-my roommate!  He was injured in the Stagg Bowl and was replaced by #60 John Kessler
The WR was Dave Rockers, not Pete....
Defense was led by:
#94 NG Ernie England
#74 DT Joe Wentzell
#58 LB Tom Young

I know he played wider receiver a few years later, but Dave Rockers would have been a freshman then, are you sure that's correct?

St. Olaf has a plan to return to campus this fall.  It looks like school is on break from Thanksgiving to J term.

So you're saying they're not planning on going deep into the playoffs this year?  :D

OldAuggie and Sagatag:

Thank you to you guys also for sharing fun stories. It is always a neat experience (IMO) to visit stadiums like that. I can't tell you enough how many times I have received that famous "Dutch Look" from my wife (she is 100 percent Dutch and also a Hope grad and I ruined the family line,-I have no Dutch lineage) when she has said to me..."Oh, not again!" when we are driving to some medical conference/on vacation (we always combine those) and I stop at several colleges and/or universities (specially DIII but oncluding FCS to FBS and even NAIA) to see and take a photo of the football stadiums (and campus).🙂 Always a fun experience.

I know that look.  Not married to a Dutch girl, but I live in Holland, Michigan.  If you ain't Dutch you ain't much.

My son's college in North Carolina is ending fall semester November 19 and starting spring semester February 8.  Almost like another summer break, nearly three months.

Yes, she used to have one of those T-shirts with that well-known saying you mention. I guess due to the fact I played there 4 years "many moons ago" and now help out with the team, I'm kind of accepted as "Honorary Dutch"...or perhaps not???!😳🙄😁🙂

Being in Holland, I assume you are starting to see things slowly begin to return downtown and around, similar to the surrounding areas.

Wasn't there supposed to be an announcement about UST to D1 today?  Getting late in the afternoon...

Mine too until I re-read the lead paragraph of the Strib;s story: "St. Thomas should get some long-awaited clarity about its future Wednesday night, when the NCAA is expected to announce whether the school can move directly from Division III to Division I." (emphasis mine)

Is that Eastern or Central time?

5 eastern.  I suppose it's anybody's guess how long they delay the announcement.
