The Concordia tuition decrease seems wonderful, until you peel back the layers.

My sophomore at SJU and my junior in high school both were really interested in Cobberland, so we spent a lot of time looking at finances/scholarships in the past 3 years. Although it looks like a huge decrease in tuition, the scholarships were significantly reduced as well.

If my junior goes to Concordia (he really liked it) and gets the max academic scholarship, tuition will actually cost him MORE under the new tuition plan.

This made him less interested in Concordia, especially when the spin to the public is that the price is dropping. It may have taken Concordia out of his top spot. We'll see.

Man, the Jags didn't play well.  Bartch knows what playing the Roney era feels like now, I guess.

But if they continue to blow then he may get a shot at some snaps for the offense sooner rather than later.

And a little Australiana.  The phrase "to pull a Bradbury" is often used in these parts.  The origin and meaning is obvious from this six minute documentary on the inaugural Australian Winter Olympic gold medalist, Steven Bradbury.

Oz, if Victoria can justify 108 days given the current death rate, I don't see how they open the borders to N America w the upcoming flu season. You may not see the light of day until the Easter Bunny comes.

Sorry. No Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, or Easter Bunny until the threat passes. The earliest we will see Peter Cottontail is Easter 2022.

What? That's two years without my favorite Easter treat- Peeps.

Peeps! My favorite as well. Do you have a preference for any particular shape or color? I don't! 🐇
Go Peeps!  ;D

Peeps made right here in my hometown!  No worries, Peep lovers, the factory is up and running.

A little more from Down Under.

Yeah, the magpies are brutal during breeding season.  More brutal is the person filming who can't decide between helping or laughing and ends up choosing to laugh.

This is posted down the park/path near my house (within 5k, obviously).  Magpie season.

Heh.  Johnnie/Tommie week met presidential politics.  We do it better.

I just figured it was because the kid was an Essendon supporter.  :)

Happy October!

So it isn't really. Big deal. But it's close. One more day. Tomorrow.

Will it be March in Australia tomorrow? You ARE in Spring.

Hey! Very few people have been posting. Just trying to add something to the board.
What did you expect from an old guy that lives in Alliance, Ohio ⁉️

Go October!  ::)  ;D 🍺

I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

What's the status of MN high school football/fall sports?

Here in IL, a class action suit was filed Tuesday to allow for fall sports to begin.

It would be great if there were a collection of live video stream links posted somewhere. I know lots of schools have been live streaming through Facebook for soccer and swimming. I think a number of metro schools are going to contract through School Space Media or others and charge a small fee. I think School Space Media (https://prepspotlight.tv/MSHSL) will be about $50 for the season.
