I saw Trost and Alston very early on in the game.

Thanks, I see pictures of them now on social media. Resting easier now!

Hodge was on the roster https://gojohnnies.com/documents/2020/11/5/20sjufootballroster_web.pdf?path=football
....with the additions of RF Atlidort and Jimmy Buck the receiving corps looks very strong...VanErp's younger brother might be a good option too. If the O-line can protect and run block and Trost and someone like Tommy Underwood can develop into stalwarts in the backfield this might be one hell of offense.

What's the rationale for preventing the general public from watching the scrimmage? In all honesty, the only people that would have tuned in were going to be SJU fans and alumni.

Didn't want to show off all the new weapons!

SJU charges for their games on web-cast, something tells me they don't want to give anything for free. Only season ticket holders got the password protected link, so that may be an "olive branch" since they held all of our money for tickets, tailgate lot/ private parking etc..... Just my take on the situation, nothing official.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

If we can keep it within 50 at UNI on my birthday, I'm going to call it a success.

Conference-mate Presbyterian just hired Kevin Kelley, the Pulaski Academy coach known for never punting. Caruso is going to have to up his aggression a bit more.

Good Luck...not!
They started the spring losing to SDSU by 4 and ended the spring losing to NDSU by 3.

I read just now that UST is dropping men's and women's tennis at the end of the semester. Nice for them to find out right as the women's team goes off to the NCAA tournament.

That news will either give both squads a downer or give them more incentive to give their best, seeing it'll be each team's last shot at a title.

According to Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press U$T needs half a billion dollars for facilities. Could someone please tell me where they're going to build them?

Insiders say it will cost $500 million for the University of St. Thomas to provide facilities for its move from NCAA Division III to Division I. The school has begun a $225 million athletics capital fundraising campaign and has targeted 15 benefactors, 11 of whom have pledged $1 million apiece.

Meanwhile, St. Thomas will have a partnership with Learfield IMG College that will oversee multimedia rights, ticket sales, licensing and sponsorships.

There is something wrong at that number!  I understand updates and a few upgrades, but that is ridiculous.  TCF was around $300 million.  I get the feeling they are trying to outdo everyone else including the U.

Have a feeling UST doesn't have as deep of pockets as they think.  D1 sports is expensive.  All of the women's programs lose money and the football program will not make money even if they move to scholarship level which is even more expensive.  I of M makes money because of BIG network.  uST will never have something like that.

Learfield handles 90% of the schools in D1.  Basically a way to make the athletic department leaner.
