The Go Johnnies app and Stretch somehow managed to get worse on iPhone from two weeks ago.

Two weeks ago, when my screen would sleep, the audio would drop. However, I was able to hit the play button on the lock screen to bring it back.

Now, when the screen goes to sleep, I lose audio AND there is no way to do anything from the lock screen to bring it back. Big buzzkill for listening to today's game.

If anyone has a way around this, please help, and/or Stretch, please look into this problem.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

The older the violin - the sweeter the music!

The powers that be must be listening! Kudos to them & all that make Johnnie football what it is! Glad to see the board on the video stream moved to the bottom of the screen. Wild to see St John's in baby blue jerseys!

Don't they always charge? I understood Week 1 as the free preview

You're gonna get your money's worth next week, hazzben, if you watch online instead of in person.  Jays have a lot of improvement to do in order to be ready for BU.

The kids have 2 softball games and 2 football games next weekend. So I'm almost certain I'll have to watch online. Which will be really annoying if I have to pay and it's not an exceptional product. If SJU can get away with charging, good on ya, but you better have a product worthy of purchase!

St Thomas is playing better against UNI, the 15th ranked team at the FCS level, than I thought they would! They trail 23-3 very late in the 3rd quarter. #5 Wheaton has a 7-0 lead over #4 North Central early in the 2nd quarter.

I know some we're asking on the in-game updates board about blue jerseys and if St. John's had ever used blue jerseys previously in football. I went digging through the archives a while back and learned that SJU's primary color for football uniforms was light blue (technically Marian blue) dating back until at least the early 1930s, perhaps as early as the 1900s or 1910s. The 1930s Johnnies wore a blue jersey with red trim and piping and a large red J on the chest. By the 1950s the red became a much more dominant color in the scheme and we see the transition away from leather helmets to the white helmet theme we still use today. The mid-50s saw the Johnnies using a red uniform with white numbers and a Marian blue stripe across the top of the shoulder pads.

The complete phase out of Marian blue was some time in the late 50s or early 60s before the Johnnies' first National Championship in 1963.

Remember too that the Johnnie fight song goes "....something, something for the Cardinal and Blue."
