Did the Cobbers really throw 40 w/ 22 completions and 275 yards yesterday?

Lowest marks of the season. They have gone to spread offense, at least for this year. Fun to watch "Cob-Air". (My term...not being marketed as such).

It makes too much sense for the MIAC to hold the championship at a neutral site in the Twin Cities. So they probably won't.

Imagine if the TCO/Vikings complex had a little bit more seating. I think it officially holds 7,000. It would be a great setup for a MIAC championship game.

Cobs go to the air now yet stuck to the wing-T when they had legit NFL talent at WR.  ???

A tradition unrivaled...

That's a great call.  This is obviously pretty dated, but it says that the capacity is 6500, but can go to 10K if needed...

Boy do I hear ya. Maybe things would have been different if Zylkstra hadn't had is freaky off-season toe injury. Cobbs used him effectively, but not enough. Gravdahl is being compared to Zylkstra, but doesn't have the height. Cobbers have a couple really good receivers this year, and I imagine last year's "off" year might have allowed more opportunity to work in a new offensive scheme. They are a lot more fun to watch, and they CAN score quickly, which was always a problem before. On the flip-side, they appear to have a pretty hapless running game now.

Haven't been on in long while.  First game yesterday in probably 2 yrs.  Maybe it was the time off or something but the Johnniess looked like they all when to the strip club till 7am ala Varsity Blues. They looked slow, sluggish, and sloppy.  But so did Bethel.  Didn't see either of the first two games so I have nothing to compare it to, but didn't look like a top notch Johnnie team.  Maybe its just me.... ???

Oh, I'm well aware of the gauntlet they've gone through, Pat.  ;)  Gonna be a reality check to end the season.

I wish I'd offered to be a Top 25 Fan Poll voter just so I could rank them for the sake of chaos.

There is a distinct possibility Carleton could be somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-1 in mid-October. I have no idea how good/bad/ugly the Oles are this year--is there a possibility we could be talking about an undefeated Carleton quad hosting Concordia on October 23?

I suspect 6-0 Carleton gets lots of votes in the Top 25 ... from the AFCA.
