So just curious, not really, but just wondering when the last time MUC was ranked as low as 4th??   ???

Mount Union lost the regular season finale to John Carroll in 2016 and entered the playoffs ranked No. 7.

Last time we played STO we were hanging on by the skin of our teeth at halftime, having been outplayed and out hustled.  The first team stayed in for all four quarters and the final score looks like a smashing but it wasn't.

A danger game.  They get their tails up and we come out flat or over confident and we could all be unhappy campers.

Oz....you don't have to be cautious to not overlook teams, you're a fan...

SJU is going to roll by at least 40, probably 50.

But watching Film on Carlton i'm not real impressed.

Well done.

AO - on a UMAC note, what changed with UNW football?  I don't pay much attention, but they were a dominant force in the not too distant past, right?
I'd say we're roughly at the same spot as a program we have been for the past few seasons even though the current record doesn't reflect that.  The non-conference schedule was much tougher this year.

Maybe this new video might help recruiting a bit. See if you can spot me, maybe twice if you've got eagle eyes. https://youtu.be/PoTLUPo6IGg  Shot by the same company that did the Cowboys Hard Knocks drone video.

Oh, no.  Not true.  I watched a youtube video about the butterfly effect once.

SJU will smash St. Olaf. You could end up -4 in the turnover department, and still win by 2+ TD's.

See, now you have me worried.  You gave me all kinds of soothing talk prior to the fiasco that was the 2019 SJU/Cobber game.  :o

I guess I'm thinking back (now looking at their annual results) to the 2016 and prior seasons where they were pretty consistently only losing a game or two per season, to the past few, where they're mostly 500-ish?

We're celebrating my Mom's 70th this Saturday, so I will have to settle for radio and/or Twitter updates.

Will save the magic rocket kool-aid juice for another time, then.
Watch for @johnniefootball tweets.
Happy birthday Mrs. B!

Hot off the presses!  Thanks for the update, Pat, though maybe you should have released that to your Paetreon subscribers, first.  ;)

News of some import: https://www.d3football.com/notables/2021/10/region-shift

Pleasantly surprised to see this. It makes a lot of sense, which is why I'm astonished the NCAA was all over getting it fixed proactively  :)

This balances the regions quite a bit more. Still plenty of depth in the "new Region 5" ... which I'll still probably revert to calling the West Region. It will change how the bottom of the region gets ranked, now that UMHB and HSU aren't in the mix. More room for two loss teams, especially from power conferences like WIAC and MIAC to slide in.

A lot depends on how many 1 loss runners up in the SCIAC and NWC we end up with.
