I never saw the 2001 Mac - SJU game, so I don't know what happened. In my mind, there's a difference between consistently blowing teams out and doing what Caruso did (2pt conversions, onside kicks, fake punts, reverses on KR when the game is already in hand).

Your point is related to a conference championship game I know, but Wheaton actually did play NCC twice in 2016. NCC beat Wheaton by 10 in the regular season and finished 10-0 and then played Wheaton in the playoffs where the Thunder prevailed by 17 before falling in the quarters to MHB in Texas

Different circumstances - the 2nd game was in the playoffs. The point is that a 2nd game against the same team during the regular season can have a huge impact on the Pool C bid for the playoffs.

Not sure, but gotta give credit where it's due ... St. Olaf broadcast was stellar last week. Watched it on the TV and it was an impeccable Hi-Def image and very good camera work.

Would put the odds of Caruso replacing Fleck somewhere between those of Knute Rockne and Bernie Bierman.

The Goophs just signed Fleck for another 7 years, so I guess U$T is stuck with St. Glenn.

It's a far cry from week two when the Bethel guys were all bunched together at the top of the standings. You wouldn't have to ask if you would have just listened to your BU brethren at the top of the stack.
