Or we could just do away with the people and let the criteria decide. Just need an administrator to read it out.

This is going to be one of the most interesting selection shows, based on how people in D3 bracketology page see very different brackets. From 1 seeds- SJU? Not Mount? To pool C teams, to where teams will be sent and to play whom.
One thought, maybe I am incorrect, but I thought the committee looked at the previous year's results when looking at undefeated teams. So the last year of full play was 2019 and many teams have a number of players back from 2019, like in any other year, so why wouldn't SJU be ahead of umbh and be a 1 seed? I know i have said geographically it isn't the best, but then just have the ncaa say we have East, West, North and South no matter the criteria.

I am of the belief that St. John's WILL be ranked ahead of UMHB as a #1 seed.

I'm actually fine with SJU being ranked anywhere.  But if they are behind UHMB because of geography then switch back to the four geos and do away with these meaningless six regions.  And if they are behind UWW because of results two years ago then do away with the ranking criteria and just organise purely on convenience.

It's not the geo or convenience that bothers me but the play acting that it isn't those two things that drive the seeding.  Do away with the objective criteria.  They are ignored anyways.

EDIT: It's not us fans that create the criteria. The committee did that.  "Here are the objective criteria we use to set up the post season.  And here are the minor rules we created that enable us to ignore the objective criteria in the name of geography and convenience.  Oh, and we'll pretty much ignore the objective criteria every time."

Own it.  Stop with the charade.
Why all the shade with UMHB? Have you seen something this year with them that keeps you all wanting to drop them below St. Johns? Maybe I am missing something or you something if you would enlighten me please do. You all keep talking SOS or RR victory but who lines up across from us is who we play and some regions are stronger than others. They lined up against 10 opponents and beat 10 opponents. I don't see a lot of top 20 teams knocking on the doors in Belton asking for a home and home since Wesley quit football. We always welcome seeing new teams come to town with different styles of play.

Just the stats man-all we can look at-or why have stats.

I'm throwing shade on the NCAA's product, not UMHB.  This is the stat line from the objective criteria the NCAA publish:

SJU       10-0, 4-0 RR, 0.635 SOS

UMHB    10-0, 1-0 RR, 0.481 SOS

One can make the argument that geography and history demand that the primary criteria are ignored, but if one does then one cannot pretend the primary criteria are meaningful.  One can argue that the stats do not represent a subjective quality assessment, but if one does then one cannot pretend the brackets have any objective substance.

The NCAA published standards and they have excuses to ignore the standards that make the standards meaningless.  They even went so far as to create six regions in an apparent attempt to demonstrate the standards are not meaningless and are important, but it appears we will have the same old brackets with the same old participation as always.  The move to six regions has only highlighted the NCAA's kabuki theater.

St John's named first!  Top seed.  Get outta here.

They host Lake Forest in the first round.

Linfield are in the Johnnie bracket.  Playing Redlands.  A Linfield/Johnnie round two rematch on the cards.  Old times.

UHMB the #2 ranked team in the Johnnie bracket.

SJU and UMHB could be on a collision course in the quarterfinals—shades of 2018 all over again.

UWW top of the second bracket.  That bracket includes Central as the second seed.  AND BETHEL!!!  BETHEL ARE IN!  And Wheaton.  And Aurora.

OzJohnnie

NCC lead the third bracket.  And La Crosse.  A softer bracket after the NCC v UWLC match in the second round.  The Johnnies (knock on wood) will play the winner of this bracket in the semis @ SJU, presumably.

Glad to see the committee could see that Bethel deserved a shot. Great for the conference!
