I know this was mentioned but wow all the Arizona kids.
The ones from Illinois, mostly smaller HS that don't make the playoffs or are one and done. There are a couple from the catholic league, which is interesting.
This ream would probably finish 3-4 in MIAC, so if you let them hang around, could be a problem, but SJU should win by 21 at least.

Good for ALar!

QuoteTE Alex Larson, Jr., St. John's
Alex Larson caught a 3-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-1 with one second remaining in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 28, setting up the game-winning extra point to give St. John's a one-point victory, MIAC championship, and NCAA playoff berth against Bethel on Saturday. Larson finished the game with a team-high six catches for 58 yards and the touchdown.

A Mount Union - St. John's Stagg Bowl would be great. I would hope for a different outcome than in 2003, however!
I think The Johnnies have a better chance of making it to Canton than do The Raiders. Just something about this Mount team that makes me nervous.
But time will tell. In the meantime, Go Raiders and Go Johnnies.

I have a small side pick 'em with some SJU buddies for the playoffs and I put Lake Forest +30.5, and Bethel +2.5.

I'm curious to see what AO would set the spread at.

...I put Lake Forest +30.5...

Wow!  I'd take the under there.  I think it'll be a 1-2 score game.

*puts down Duff for Lake Forest to beat the spread*

When I made my line, I had heard that Lake Forest was somewhere in the neighborhood of Gustavus in terms of talent level. Massey has the most likely outcome of SJU by 31, so I felt OK with that. You also have to remember I'm playing with all SJU guys, so I set it higher to try and get an equal number of people to pick LF as SJU.

No, I get it.  I just hate these 1st round "mis-matches" that could end up being 60 point games or could end up like the 2019 Aurora game.  There's just not enough data, and I always expect the worst.

It feels to me it could be like the 2003 St. Norbert game which was 21-13 at half. They hung with us the first half and we wore them down in the second.
I'd be ok with a similar result on Saturday.

SJUrube

Has it been confirmed what what the ranked order of the #1 seeds are? Specifically would SJU be hosting through the semi-finals? The players need to take the games one at a time but as a rube I need to plan ahead.

I haven't listened to the latest podcast so if this covered there, or elsewhere, I'd appreciate the cliffs notes if someone can share.

I have it as 21 point game.
Looking at final rankings if NCAA, SJU is ahead of UWW, so it looks that way-hosting if win-but that will be extremely difficult with bracket set up.
