Johnnies won by 6 and had a decent playoff run after that   

Fun fact--Linfield beat Redlands twice that season, too,  but had Wartburg in round 2 before meeting the Johnnies.

More injuries to deal with for the Js. 

Faoliu appeared alright on the sidelines, so hopefully, he's good to go next Saturday.  Van Erp, though, man.  To me it looked like he dislocated his hip.  That's brutal.  So, do you have your starting QB hold for kicks or just go for 2?  Ugh.

Sitting in  The La after the game strategizing how this plays out, #1 QB out, starting RG & RT out, KR-PR- Holder out, #1 RB hobbled, #1WR hobbled, LS out, it time to dust off the "Next Man Up" instructional manual. #GoJohnnies

BU terrible on return coverage.  Missed Nate Farm at SS. On the brighter side, BU only has 5 seniors on the 500 man roster.   BU will be back. Roste Kidder begins practice with the BU basketball team on Monday.

Nate Farm played today - at least he is listed in the stats.

So Linfield is going to be a bigger passing threat than rushing threat? Their QB is ranked 10th in the country with over 300 yards per game passing & in Linfield's win over Redlands two of Linfield's receivers had over 100 yards receiving. Will be quite a test for our secondary!

were learning experiences for the WILDCATS who won it all the next year - without playing St. Johns.
Seems to me WW then owned that bracket after that. Seems like every time LINFIELD had a good team, somebody ducked us.
Sitting at 0-3 since 1965 against St. Johns has not set well in Pinot Noire country.

I've never understood the appeal of ripping off the 'Sooner Magic' slogan. It's fun to have something to call it, but with all those Johnnie marketing dollars can't you get something original?

- Picked BU to win MIAC championship (close)
- Bracket capsule says SJU will go as far as they outscore opponents. Either that's a clever quip based on the recent last second win or another example of the most cliched 'guide to winning' phrase ever used. Compare it to other 1 seeds, or even some of the 2 and 3 seeds.

You obviously don't realize the bracket capsules are typically written by an alum/follower of the school they are about and not by the D3 staff. They simply assemble all the info and post it. But you wouldn't have to be so paranoid if everyone wasn't out to get you.

I didn't realize that, but I suppose it fits the optimism of Minnesota sports.

Boulder Beer Company had a treat called "Pillow Mint", but I suspect it's no more as it is not listed on their website. It was on tap at "1008 Key Club" on 4th St in downtown Sioux City when I tried it for the first & only time several months ago. I did see that Guinness is releasing a Chocolate Mint Stout that's been aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels that I'm anxious to try if I can find it!
