St John's has thrown for 34 touchdowns & rushed for 34 touchdowns on the season. Can't get any more balanced than that! i believe we're ranked 10th for team passing efficiency & I feel good about Chris Backes having the experience as a backup under Erdmann & Seyversen & his intelligence & knowledge of the playbook. We may be really struggling with the injury bug, but I'm hoping we have what it takes to survive the tilt on Saturday with Linfield!

That's cute, Hazzben.  I remember when I had my first beer.

Just sayin ... and you aren't denyin  ;)

On that note, now that it's officially Russian Imperial Stout season, anyone have any 'off the beaten path' dark beer recs?

Not obscure breweries in the Twin. cities but Fair State and Dangerous Man have some solid stuff. DM has a barrel-aged program just starting up. Released a jamberry macaron stout. Might still be some bottles of that still available, otherwise they typically release stuff on Thursday.

Fair State has cellar Saturday for some unique stuff. They've got a hard apple cider that you can buy in a jug if you're looking for something non-beer related.

Thanks for the recs ... adding them to the list.

I love Pryes Barrel Aged Lost Moon. Regular Lost Moon is good too, but the barrel aged is next level.

Wait a minute! Russian beer? Apple cider?  Beer that tastes like jamberry macaron? You guys need to go back to Hamms.

I actually write every single "How far can they go" myself. And many of the 32 teams are teams someone on our "staff" has seen a couple of times, so we are often writing the above five categories as well.

I thought you did... you always jinx us....  :-X :P ::) :'(

But I'd have to see what you wrote in 2004?

We have the type of scoreboard that uses a freshman to hangup/change numbers.  It's exclusively pills music, and SJU is a vegan campus.

Who owns play like a champion? Ripoff?

Oklahoma had the original. Lou Holtz made it famous at Notre Dame.

Agreed.

"Leave No Doubt"?  Hmmm . . .  I believe it was the St. Johns coach who neglected to send game film to LINFIELD until they had boarded their bus to fly to Atlanta for the NAIA Championship game in 1965.

A grudge is like a well-aged whiskey.  I doesn't even get to drinking stage until over 55 years have passed.
