Should be any day now. It was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving in the 2019 season.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Thanks for doing the dirty work.  I knew it was generally pretty soon after the rest of the MIAC turned in their equipment. ;D

Traditionally, it looks like the middle of the second week after the end of the regular season. Some years that falls the week of Thanksgiving, others it's the week prior.

It's a safe bet on tomorrow based on press releases from previous years.

per a different tweet - as you probably guessed - it's due to a covid issue.

Yikes, another blow for the Johnnies.

Fasching Test Positive for COVID

During the postgame the radio guys mentioned Gary was fighting a bug...when i heard that I thought to myself, "Could it be Covid?"
We will be lucky to not have more cases.

Release said "after a thorough investigation, no other SJU student-athletes or coaches were deemed close contacts."    Not sure how that's possible but hope coach is on the mend and back ASAP.

I don't know the standards for "close contacts" as far as NCAA is concerned either. I was surprised to see that no other players or coaches met the requirement.

Hopefully it is just Fasching and he can make a quick recovery. With all the injuries on the team lately, we can't afford to lose more to COVID.

Fortunate that it wasn't a road trip- might have lost a lot more players / staff due to exposure.

Current CDC guidance says that if you're vaccinated and have an exposure, isolation/quarantine is not needed if no symptoms present.  Not sure if the NCAA is more restrictive.

We just went through this at our house a few weeks ago.

Could also be an indoor / outdoor discrepancy and amount of time. Wonder if there will be any additional testing of the team the next couple of days. Seems you could really ruin one quarter of the bracket if it isn't contained.

Yeah, I would think he would be back by gameday if not earlier since he's vaccinated.

Just a note, as a Linfield fan, I hope this is the only Covid thing related and your coach is back before Sat.  Nobody wants this game to be impacted by Covid.  Let's hope both sides get as healthy as possible and get after it this Saturday.
