19 first-team offensive guys, huh?  3 QBs on the second-team offense?   ::)

Had the same thought - as well as the overall very large number of people covered between all of the various teams.    :o

Also, 7 WRs on the 1st team.  I've yet to see a 7-receiver set.  ::)

Congrats to everyone named, though.  I'm just a traditionalist.

I dunno Duff, in my nightmares I see Erdmann in 2018 throwing to a 7-receiver set up at Collegeville against my team.

(But in my happy dreams, I see Max Jackson getting whistled back on the play that turned the tide since Parks knee was down.)
(Sorry for boomer-posting)

Couldn't agree more. Whats wrong with having 2 teams, 11 on each team, one kicker and one punter. Then be done.

They, like with the division structure, are trying to address the problem that if they played it straight then SJU and BU would win everything except for the odd award elsewhere.  Like the Stam for a defensive player because MVP always goes to the offense, maybe there should be a list of other awards.  Most Promising Player, Most Consistent Player, Best Sportsman, etc.  Awards geared toward character as well on field performance.

(I don't actually care, I just felt compelled to comment and hear my own voice in my head)

I think that ended Bo Jackson's career.

Speaking of Bo Jackson, this is one of the more entertaining clips I've seen.  He's at a clinic chatting to a kid who has no idea who he is and doesn't quite comprehend what Bo is saying as he relays his accomplishments.  The kid is essentially, "Hmmm, what else?"  Jackson humorously and humbly takes it all in stride.

Best Sportsman, etc.

Keep scrolling down past the honorable mentions, and there is a sportsmanship team.

Yeah. It means second-team MIAC guys basically will never make our All-Region team.

I'm still mad at the SJU production team for cutting to replay before that play was over. It missed everything after the ball came out until Max Jackson crossed the Tommie 35-yard line.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Looks like the MIAC enjoys big rosters of 37 members for the first and second team with the only real constant being 3 special teamers. Get to nominate another 4 for honorable mention.

Got a chuckle at Mohr and Buck selections mainly because Mohr was the starting receiver with the least amount of games and Buck was the only offensive skill player to get in all the games.

Maybe all the first and second team nods for SJU will have the cats shaking in their boots  :).

I had a similar experience to the Bo Jackson clip here in Oz only I was the kid.  Quite a few years ago I golfed regularly with a group of friends, one of which had played seven games at the AFL level for North Melbourne.  Someone would often bring an extra from outside the group and in this case my friend brought this guy Ross "Smitty" Smith who I ended up paired with.

Anyways, everyone is slobbering over this guy.  "Smitty!  Way to hit it Smitty!" and I had no idea what was going on.  I commented to him during play that he can smash it a mile off the tee but his short game really lets him down.  I observed he was pretty athletic and asked if he played footy with Brendon, my friend, perhaps at Port Melbourne (a semi-pro team where Brendon played most of his career).  "No, we played together at North," he replied.  "Cool," I said and that was it.  But the other two in our playing group were aghast, looking at me as if I had just spray painted over the Mona Lisa.

It turned out that "Smitty" had played over 200 games with North and had won two AFL Premierships (Grand Final victories) and a Best and Fairest (MVP) for the club.  In other words, AFL elite royalty.  So, my Bo with child moment.

We may need extra help since a heard a rumor that Bluenote was bringing his sackbut to play.  :)

Not a rumor.... I'll be playing Flight of the Bumble Bee at halftime. Please provide plenty of beer and wild rice.
There will be plenty of beer and Johnnie Bread.
If you are looking for lutefisk you will have to wait until you play Gustavus or St. Olaf.  :)
