That was a hard fought game and a bummer to lose.  Gotta love the way the Johnnies battled back.  Sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way, and today was one of those days.  Losing sucks, but I'm proud of this Johnnie team.  They battled through a ton of adversity this year.

Congrats, 'Cats.  Do some damage, now!

Ok, now WTF was up with SJU playing a Linfield hype video, playing their rouser before the game, and playing it again along with Wildcat graphics on the video board when they scored?  You can be gracious hosts without going that far. I'm sorry, but that's part of homefield advantage, and that really ticked me off.  I've never been to another game where the home team did that.  >:(

Could be part of the soul-sucking NCAA rules. I think LF had their touchdown music available when they scored last week.

Heh.  By a five to two margin Quick Hits predicts Linfield will win tomorrow.  In other unexpected news, scientists discover water is wet.  ::)
Not to get into politics, but didn't Trump famously discover water was wet when he went to Puerto Rico? ;D

He discovered gas was cheap when it came from America.

Bingo. NCAA policy is that when you are hosting postseason events, audio-wise and scoreboard-wise and so on, what you do for one team you have to do for both teams.

That's a hilarious rule. We need FBS to expand so they have to do that some season when Bama hosts Georgia. I am chuckling picturing Duff getting increasingly agitated at it throughout the game, complaining to anyone around him, maybe waving his arms and shaking his head.

02 Warhawk

That makes perfect sense now. I was watching the Central/Wheaton game, and between possessions They were playing a song with the word "Thunder" in it. I think it was the Imagine Dragons song. I thought "Why would Central being playing that?"

Yeah, can't hurt people's feelings these days. God forbid a team have home field advantage.

I return from a quick nap after a late night and early game...

Thanks, Johnnies, for a return from covid season worthy of the moment.  So much grit, triumph and adversity this year.  This squad may not have had the end glory of some past squads but when it comes to guts and determination you can stand tall in any room full of Johnnies past.

Thanks, fellas. It's been a good year.

I've been to a good number of d3 playoff games since the late 90s and don't recall ever seeing/hearing that.  Maybe it happens more with the rise in popularity of video scoreboards?

D O.C.

Duff . . . I couldn't figure out playing the LINFIELD fight song and the logo on my hat all the time either

It was like a home game.
Sorry I missed you
We found  Tailgate Alley thanks to you. Even had one of those celery/pickel juice Bloody *****. ;).

The 3 sacks out of 4 plays to start the game might have given false hope.
We didn't see that ever.

DuffMan

Yeah, sorry I missed you, D O.C.  I made a brief appearance at the tailgate and walked around the field at the half hoping to say hi to WC11, but he must have went in to warm up.

I don't care who you're cheering for--that was an impressive defensive series.  Would have been a long day for the Wildcats if they hadn't have found a way to adjust.

So, did Lindfield rent those MASSIVE heaters for their sidelines?  I chuckled that the Johnnies didn't even have a heater and Linfield had two monstrous ones.  :D

It was quite a pleasant day for late November in MN!  Heck, we enjoyed great weather all season.

Kind of silly if the weather was anything like it was in Whitewater, BUT...

Let me get this straight.  The NCAA monitors scoreboards to the point that a home scoreboard has to "even things out" with promotions and hype videos they show.  But a visiting team can bring whatever extras they want and plunk them down on the sidelines?

Serious question: What if St. John's had the heaters on the sideline and didn't provide them to the visitors?

Looks like the visitors can't bring whatever they want but the host needs to provide certain things regardless and a few things if requested. https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/championships/sports/football/d3/2019-20D3MFB_HostOpsManual.pdf —> not the most recent but I imagine there aren't a ton of updates.
