As the parent of three children under the age of six, I vote for the permanent abolition of daylight savings time.

Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

I'd go one step further and try to convince all nations to synchronize with the space station so that everywhere on earth is the same time at the same time. International travel would instantly be a breeze when trying to figure out how long it's going to take to get to some new place and to know what day it is really.

Interesting. So, basically we would all use GMT / UTC / Zulu time?

Hitler promoted global UTC.

(I have no idea if he did or not but no discussion of anything on the Internets is complete until Hitler arrives, so I thought I would have a chuckle.)

Personally, I'd be happy to get rid of daylight savings time.  It means I would be walking the dog in the dark on many mornings but I would cope.  I would stop there, though.  Let programmers, military and biz meeting organisers use UTC if they like but I'm not too interested in trying to convince the local fish and chips guy that his opening hours are now 00:00Z to 11:00Z.

But just think: half the world could truly live Arthur Koestler's Darkness at Noon!

Re: Hitler references.  Ever since he invaded Ukraine to 'de-nazify' it (then promptly bombed the Holocaust memorial at Babyn Yar - that'll show them Nazi's who gave 70% of the Presidential vote to a Jew ;)), I've referred to Russia's dictator as Adolph Putin.

I just enjoy watching Hitler rant videos.  Usually he is an Aggie.

I quickly looked for the obvious Hitler Reacts to Downfall Parody but nothing showed up.  The recursive hilarity is there for some enterprising lad with more time than sense.

The best Downfall parody of all time, Hitler wants a Burger King, has been lost to the ether.  A shame as it was even better than the original Hitler hates the Flyers, also very difficult to find.

An oldie but a goodie.  Hitler Finds out Favre signed with the Vikings.  The part about Rodgers didn't age so well.

I agree Oz, Hitler Wants a Burger King was the greatest Hitler vid of them all.

While his Generals are trying to map out a BK run in time, Steiner returns from town after his shopping trip for cigarettes and personal supplies. Confronted by other mid level officers as to his whereabouts he replies "I got me fags, light bulbs and pens. So I'm sorted."

Meanwhile, Hitler wants a Burger King and a Sprite. His Generals are nervously showing him on the maps that there is no way they can get to BK before it closes.

Hitler is outraged. No other fast food options will do. A Burger King and a Sprite. Period.

Pure cinema gold. Somehow lost on the interwebs when everything else is captured forever.

The Augsburg hockey team is going to the Frozen Four in Lake Placid after a 4-1 win over St. Norbert last night. Representing the MIAC as a serious contender the Auggies play #1, Adrian, on March 25th.

That's fantastic OldAuggie, I was following the AUG/SNC game last night. Adrian has been the clear #1 all season other than losing their first game in OT and going 29-0 since then. (not counting a couple exhibition games with the national development team)

Adrian is a very tough opponent. But so was St. Norbert.

Quite an accomplishment for the team to make it to the Frozen Four. Good luck to the Auggies!
