Big question: who's is #2 at QB? Last year we were pretty set at 1, 2 and 3. With Cooper Downs transferring there appears to be a major hole.

I just noticed one of our first U$T transfers: Kristoff Kowalkowski. Not a big surprise...he's from Sartell via Tontino Grace. I believe his dad is a Johnnie.

So where would Cooper Downs have fit into that 1, 2, and 3? I was sure Brady Ketchum would be hands down replacement for Hawkins. Since he knows our offense I still give him the edge, but curious what Cooper Downs can do.

I find it funny that that article refers to the College of St. Thomas.

So Cooper headed to Central?
I believe so...and i don't have a problem with him doing so. He wants to play and the window is small. Good luck to him....except if he plays the Johnnies.

No, I totally wouldn't fault him.  Best of luck to him!

From Central's website:

QuoteGavin Hierseman (sophomore, West Branch) saw time in a more limited role and Cooper Downs (sophomore, Ames) emerged as a serious contender after transferring to Central for spring semester.

"They all went through the spring and competed," McMartin said. "They were able to get a lot of reps. Brady got a lot of experience last year. Cooper came in as a transfer but all of them have shown some good skill sets. They've learned our offense and they're going to get a lot of opportunities this fall."

Don't look for dramatic changes in the Dutch offense regardless of who takes the snaps. Ketchum, Downs and Hierseman are capable runners.

Interesting.  Sartell via Totino Grace--that's quite a commute.  I know nothing of the kid, but that article makes him seems like a football, football, football meathead.  Time will tell, I guess.

Dang. That's over an hour commute one way, and could be as much as an hour and 15 minutes depending on where he lived in Sartell.

Looks like sophomore kicker Conor Pavelko is now going by Conor Murphy according to the roster. For a second I thought he transferred because I couldn't find him on the roster.

That could be a typo...I think we have an offensive lineman named Cameron Murphy (great surname BTW).

Could be a name change--his father is Kevin Murphy.
