Tommyboy has been back at it on Gopherhole this week, too funny not to share.  I hope this thread goes on for another 4 years.  https://gopherhole.com/boards/threads/kristoff-kowalkowski-signs-with-st-thomas.99583/page-4#post-2518579

I am just reading this thread for the first time. WHOA. LOL.

Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

I truly hope his kid is a good kid/player and does well at SJU.  As for the dad, I hope he can keeps his nose out of his kid's business, but I seriously have my doubts.

Tommyboy "hears" quite a bit of information that just about everyone knows ("heard" he had other D1 offers, even from Ivy League schools), but speaks confidently and in detail about facts that only someone like a parent would know (GPA, class schedule, comments about his 7th grade brother).

I'm with Duff. Hope he shines at SJU.

And, I hope that dad doesn't try to pull the "just a guy at the University who's a fan of KK" schtick here on the MIAC board.

If that nutjob were my doc, I would be looking for a new doctor.

Thanks for the link. That was definitely my lunchtime entertainment.

I would assume that the Doc has, at the very least, lurked on the board already. Right?

That thread is tragically hilarious.

After reading it, I doubt there is anything that could keep dad off this board.  For the kid's sake I hope I'm wrong.

Duff, wasn't your dad all over this board in the early 2000's?   ;D

I hope you're wrong as well.

It sounds like Ben Bartch is doing very well entering his third year @ Jacksonville.

Quote
Meanwhile at left guard, the Jaguars are still weighing their options between third-year lineman Ben Bartch and veteran backup Tyler Shatley. Shatley started camp as the left guard before Bartch took control of the job following the Browns preseason game, which has since led to Shatley taking all of his snaps as the second-team center.

"They're still competing, as well. Tyler Shatley has got a great opportunity. Ben (OL Ben Bartch) had played well. He deserved the opportunities with the ones to continue his evaluation process, then another part of that was getting Shatley a lot of center work, and that's what we were able to do last week," Taylor said.

"By virtue of being able to evaluate him, it gave Ben an opportunity to play with the ones, because there are a lot of times guys play well with the unit they're in. Competition ups as you move with the ones, you want to see if that continues. So far, he's done a great job. They're both competing really well at the position."

"Haven't made that decision yet as far as playing time, but Bartch has done well there. He settled in over at left guard," Pederson said. "Shatley has done a nice job as well, but one thing with Shat is he can move back to center if we need to, gives us a little versatility there."

Ha!  I think my old man's only knowledge of Post Patterns comes from whatever Robert Zimmerman had told him.

TDT and Bennie joined in 2002.  They were the oldest I could easily find.  A lot of the 'old crew' joined in 2005. Pat Coleman joined in 1998, so I guess that's when the board launched.

Pat can probably answer this, but I vaguely recall a "reboot" of the boards early on.
