Quarterback had plenty of possession. This isn't a thing where he has to "make a football move" with the ball.

UWRF blew up Elmhurst 63-0 this past weekend and put up 560 yards of total offense.

What kind of fight will UWRF put up going from playing a team picked to finish dead last in the CCIW to a perennial MIAC front runner? Who are the players to watch from UWRF?

I'm pretty sure this is all the possession he needed:

Great shot and it appears that he may have had control....but it's a still shot....ball could still be moving and not completely controlled.

Now Pat is just trolling you, faunch.  ;)

Wish I could take credit for that, but it was the other way around. I put it on the front page when the podcast was done/uploaded, then started reading the board before going to bed.

With Mattern's transfer, what does the depth chart at quarterback for the Johnnies look like?

Cobbs already with a change at QB. Former Johnnie Cooper Mattern takes control of the offense.

Thanks for posting. I saw the change in the stats line in the 4th quarter, and the following scores, and was wondering if a QB change was made. I couldn't find a stream for that game. Sometimes it takes a game or two to find the right player mix...assuming the coach is willing to take the risk.

2022 roster shows 8 QBs (2 jr, 2 so, and 4 fr). It looked like #18 Peterson was repping the headset on Saturday which leaves me believe he might be backup? For all the experience we had last year we look real green in this department.

Bettered the score line from last year, 45-7. Starters didn't make it to the end of the 2nd quarter as they were already 40+ points good.

QB led the team in rushing. Seems like quite a bit of depth at WR with a 6'6", 6'4", and 6'3" option. DL and secondary also look like they have some length. 6'6", 290 DL #55 will be a handful.

Longest pass play was 33 yards amongst the group that got in last week. Average per completion in the 10 yard range. Feels like we could be playing against a bigger version of Aurora. Likely greater emphasis on keeping the QB contained, keeping everything in front, and hopefully avoiding missed tackles.

Might be another test for our run game, and hopefully we'll get a bit more balanced in our pass game.

Nick Peterson is a junior from BSM / Brooklyn Park and is likely the #2 guy
There's a sophomore transfer from U$T that was apparently overlooked by most of the D1 programs across the country.

Cooper Downs was the #3 guy last year until Syverson went down and Backes took over. I think Chris filled in admirably but IMO the Johnnie offense sputtered a bit after the loss of Syverson. Downs is the #2 guy at Central this year and got a few snaps during the second quarter last week.

I really think it's difficult to tell what a team is going to get when a #2 or #3 guy is brought in. Hopefully that doesn't occur this year.

-That 6'7" Tight End probably runs like Groot.

This aged well.  :o
