I think St.John's got enough flags that helped them for the day. A great game but I certainly wouldn't bring up picking up the flag. Uwrf didn't benefit from flags or calls. I would of loved to seen the catch on the sideline on close replay. Looked ob, who knows? It was a big play.

Think he's talking about Iowa-Iowa St...

If you're going to make obvious penalties, expect to get flagged.  Most of the RF flags were fairly flagrant infractions-poor discipline.

I wouldn't say RF didn't benefit from flags, either.  I recall an offsides on a 4th and 4 that gave them a first down, a personal foul/defensive chop block, and at least one defensive pass interference.

A tradition unrivaled...

Not the greatest still shot, but he looks very in to me.

Yes...I think i heard he was walking out to field stepped on a teammate's foot and may have torn his achilles.

SJU up to #2.

1. NCC
2. SJU
3. MU
4. UWW
5. UMHB

Bethel down to #21 and UWRF moved up to #17. Only one ranked team stayed where they were.

St John's has moved up to #2 in the latest Top 25 poll & is 11 points behind North Central for #1. Fun to see & obviously it doesn't mean anything until the playoffs (if we can make them) & matters even more where we're ranked in the final ranking. Does anyone know the last time St John's was ranked #2 in the country?

Get out of here?  Really?  That's crazy.  That being said, I knew a guy who was standing in a group of people chatting and when he causally turned to speak with one of the group, he completely blew out his ACL.  Total reconstruction, cast and everything due to an action that each of us performs maybe 1 million times in our lifetimes.  Crazy can happen.  Very unfortunate if true for Soler and the team.

BU will live or die off Roste's health, it appears.  Let's hope he's on the mend.  GAC received 10 votes, up from 3 the week before, so they are on some of the voters' radar.   Let's hope they continue to improve as well.

How are you terds doing? You haven't proved anything until you get past the "Cats.   :-*

OzJohnnie

Interesting twist.  Let's say SJU beats BU in two weeks and then BU beats SJU in the conference championship game.  We could have a two-loss champion and a one-loss runner up.

Maybe that scenario could cause me to rethink my position on the two-division conference structure.

On the positive side, it helps post-season hopefuls improve their SOS by avoiding two bottom sides, inflates the value of a two-loss season to the second place team when both of those losses are to the same nationally ranked conference winner and it provides a selection buffer if the top team leading into the championship game offers up a turdburger (not to mention the 'any given Sunday' potential to the underdog come championship day).

On the negative side, it sucks.

I'm starting to convince myself.

Ice Bear says it appears so. Ice Bear was proud of the effort Bolt put forth on Saturday but it just wasn't enough. Ice Bear says with that being said Bolt looks strong and he certainly is a strong athlete with an upside. Ice Bear says if he plays against the Johnnies Ice will be rooting for him. Ice also points out that if the running game can become more consistent for the Royals that would take some of the pressure off Bolt and maybe loosen up coverage a bit. The Bear knows that 3 first downs and only 86 total yards on the ground doesn't make it easy for any backup QB. Ice believes it is not ****ing easy being a QB in the MIAC or at any college level for that matter.
