Pretty quiet week on the boards leading up to this weekend's games.

Duff alluded earlier to the huge spread for Carleton vs. St. Scholastica (+50.5), but there are a few other compelling matchups.
What Concordia will we see against Bethel--the one that came back and almost beat SJU and Monkey StompedTM Macalester, or that other one (see Valley City State & GAC)?
I'm also interested to see where Macalester stacks up against Augsburg. AO has the line pretty close on that one and I think Mac is capable of winning that game outright.

Ice says he is hoping for the latter...let's go Royals!

I feel things were still moving pretty quickly for the Cob's new QB Mattern vs. GAC and SJU. The multiple interceptions and turnovers against each hurt, but Mattern and their newer spread/RPO offense looks to have promise. If turnovers are minimized, the game vs. the Royals could be competitive as the Cobs have a decent defense. It might not be competitive if they lose the turnover battle.

Ice Bear says in all honesty he loves himself some parity. The more good teams the better. Ice loves when a program begins an upward trajectory. The Bear is happy for the Cob's and in all seriousness is hoping for a competitive and injury free game Saturday.

Concordia at Bethel has multiple bad memories of late, but here is the worst (for Cobber fans, great for Bethel fans):

Cobs think they won the game 14-7 as time ran out with an incomplete pass, but the refs thought otherwise and ruled it a fumble and sideline penalty.

Royals take advantage of the penalty and win the game the next play with TD followed by 2-pt conversion.

That was your channel. Thanks for providing. Yeah, video quality has gotten a LOT better...usually.

GoldandBlueBU

That was such a bizarre ending...couldn't help but feel bad for those two guys who got right out into the active play...something I'm sure they'll never forget!

I am aware it was our YouTube where the highlights are hosted, but we didn't produce Bethel's broadcast or anything.

I distinctly remember watching that bizarro ending on the drive back to Indiana after a very satisfying Wabash win over Wittenberg in Springfield, OH.  Wabash won 27-24, running out the last 9:32 of the game in a TOP masterclass, which I know IB will appreciate.

I didn't mean to imply you created the video. I meant to thank you for hosting that content (and much more) on your channel. It came up first in my web search (Brave).

Third sophomore year. Counting Roste seasons of eligibility are feeling like trying to figure out the whole "first cousin once removed" thing.

...or maybe its like trying to figure out how much eligibility Ryan Keating had.

The strange thing is that 2012 wasn't that long ago. I don't recall things being that primitive ten years ago, but maybe it was at the D3 level.

I was at that game and remember scouring the internet later for the video to figure out what happened. This was the video that was available then. It was bang-bang in real time and I was dead sure that possession changed hands before the sideline penalty occurred (I was clearly wrong and the ref was right). I played it over and over trying to decipher what happened with all the blurry figures. It's impossible from that video to see if the call should have been a fumble or incomplete pass.
