Ahhh, 2012 video with echoing audio. Fun times.

Was that Roste's freshman or sophmore year?  ;)

Roste is still behind Michael Veldman. ;)

Speaking of memory lane, on this day 4 years ago, SJU beats UST 40-20. I had no idea that would be the last SJU-UST game played at Collegeville. It was shortly after John had passed away. The Max Jackson scoop and score that was analyzed like the Zapruder film. I miss the rivalry.

I was at that game.  It was the last time I saw a game live and in person.  It was a great day.

Full disclosure to Commish BDB, we're having our floors refinished and some additional wood flooring installed next week, so the Duffs will be living out of a hotel for a few days.  Is that cheating?

The Board of Directors of "MIACPP First/Last Furnace Turn-On" competition has met in emergency conference. It was decided that the Commissioner unfairly disqualified Duffman for having to leave his domicile while home improvements were being made to a hotel with heat/sauna/hot tub.

In fact, the Board noted that waiver was given to this very past champion last year when the Duff clan spent a week in Florida during the competition.

Having weighed all the issues, and indeed recognizing the string of past championships involved, it is recognized that Duffman more than likely, and on his good word, was the last to fire up the heater.

Therefore, Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to present the Golden Heat award once again, and for many years running , to the MIACPP member that is the last to turn on his furnace, our very own beloved Duffman.

Well done Duffman, well done!  8-)

Oh, I turned mine on midweek last week since our floors were being finished and I wanted to help the curing process.  Since I'd been DQd, I didn't turn it off nor report back here.

Anyone still holding out?

Next year, I will regain my title.

A tradition unrivaled...

I still have yet to forgive the whomever was controlling the "replay" button for the SJU broadcast. They started the replay right as Jackson was picking up the ball and the replay ends as he's at the Tommie 35.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Turned mine on last night. Survived with just the gas fireplace long enough.

Retired Old Rat

I am currently an apartment dweller. My space stays warm with only two sides exposed to the outside and heat on around me. I have not turned on my heat yet and have not been lower than 69.

Ice Bear

Ice Bear says the wife turned the heat on the other day and the Bear didn't notice until his ****ing ice chair started melting and seeping through his fur. Ice growled loudly at her, "He can't believe you turned the ****ing heat on! Don't you know what's going on over on the mother****ing MIAC board?"

Mrs. Ice said, "what was that dear?"

Ice responded with a quiet...

"Oh nothing dear (with his head down and a whimper on his snout)."

They knew the truth. Didn't want to document it for all time.

Y'all still absolutely stomped us. Ruined my kids first SJU tailgate. Heck, T will probably end up a Johnnie on account of it, BUT if that play had gone differently, I am certain everything would have gone differently and Perra would have magically decided to throw the ball to our team, not yours.
