Love my Johnies but I think Gus Davis will win next week.

This would be a heckuva time for the Johnnies to put together their first complete game. It's been bumpy these last several weeks. I don't think they get it done without a complete game--very little margin for error against Gustavus. It's nice that the game is in Collegeville though.

I'd be pretty surprised to see SJU lose to Gustavus...I'm fully expecting a re-match in Collegeville for the MIAC title.  Still curious when we'll hear whether they're going to carry this championship week forward?

I sort of understand the spirit of the rule, but you can certainly make the case that for an un-helmeted player to simply stop and stand still in the middle of play is more unsafe.

Yeah, I understand it and wasn't upset with the call, but it seems a bit subjective.  How do you judge if a an o-lineman stops participating in the play?  He'll get hurt if he just lets up.  And your example of an RB.  He's just supposed to stop running?

I'll be pleasantly surprised if SJU beats Gustavus.  They have yet to put a full game together.  Lot's of mental lapses and inconsisten o-line play.  :-[

Yeah. This is what I'm most concerned about. The O-line needs to get it together--and fast.

Congrats to Carleton on receiving votes in the D3football.com Top 25. It's the first time since 2008 receiving votes.

Note: Carleton also broke into the Top 25 that same year on a 5-0 start with wins over Cornell, Bethel, Macalester, St. Olaf, and Augsburg, before losing to Gustavus 30-29 in overtime and then losing to St. Thomas by two as the Tommies scored a TD on 4th and goal from the Carleton 6-yard line as time expired.

Any chance I'll be able to live stream the GAC/SJU game while sitting in Camp Randall?

Going to the Wisconsin-Purdue game? I guess it's the easiest opportunity to get tickets with the Badgers being very sub-par this year.

My guess is that the guest WiFi won't be able to support streaming much of anything (maybe the radio call only).

On a somewhat related note--for any of you that have Verizon for your cell and data service--has your data quality just gone in the dump these last 6-8 months?

My Verizon data service can't seem to support some of the most basic web browsing and streaming when I am not on my home or work WiFi.

Ice says Bethel looking a little low coming in at #11 this week. Should be higher IIBHO.

Yes. Think it may be a problem more specific to my iphone, but I will be outside in a major metropolitan area and suddenly have zero cell service of any kind for an hour

Obviously the angle of the pic, but this looks like a college team playing a middle school team  ;D

Yup. Either that or the Johnnies are ranked too high. Regardless, it will all be cleared up the next few weeks.

Yes...visiting #2 for Bucky Badger homecoming. Tickets were purchase earlier this fall by a friend...guessing since it's homecoming the prices won't come down a lot. Hoping to view the first half of GAC/SJU from my tailgate location. Last year I was in Iowa City for the MIAC championship game. I couldn't get much of anything for a signal in the stadium...as I went to the bathroom I saw a post or tweet that said SJU pulled off the win. Anyone willing to send me text updates send me a PM and I'll give you my cell.
Thanks
