Duff, I found this on Twitter and figured it must have come from your house. I must say that your penmanship is remarkable and has a bit of a feminine touch to it.

Ice Bear says there is some douche bag who keeps dinging his karma everytime he posts here. ****ing shame as Ice really is enjoying himself watching/learning about some great MIAC football. To Ice, this is by far one of the best boards on PP with some of the best posters going.
Vitamin K all around!
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Few things grind my gears like days where my family tries to use the AC and heat in the same day. (ex. heat in the AM and AC in the PM).

That's awful.  If it's going to be warm enough to need the AC, you can survive without the heat in the AM.  I am much less of a holdout to turn on the AC than the heat...I let that thing run based on temperature, not based on the calendar.  Hate being hot, particularly for sleeping...looking possible that it'll be needed this Sunday if it hits 80 like the forecast shows for the twin cities.

I always turn on the AC for sleeping if the house temp is above 76 degrees. Always. That's what it's made for. I remember as a kid sleeping mid-summer at Grandma's house in the Ozarks with a damn box fan in the window (it didn't help). The best my parents had was a swamp cooler (not much better). If I'm not camping, the AC is on at night in warm weather.

I don't post very often, but do read the board & appreciate everyone's insights. I was wondering the same thing regarding "Karma"! I could really care less. I don't have anything against anyone until they have something against me. Thankful that it's football season & have Saturday's to look forward to!

On another note....how the hell is U$T going to squeeze in a 5,000 seat arena in this space?

Since baseball/softball are going to the old Ford plant area, couldn't they put hockey where those fields are now on the south campus?

I did a little measuring using google earth and discovered that the footprint for the MSU-Mankato arena is actually a little smaller than the soccer and softball field at U$T. I wonder if they'll build another ramp to the west of the soccer field and McCarthy gymnasium.

Maybe a catapult to get up and a super slide for coming back down.

You're not alone. I've gotten used to posting occasionally because my "mystery" karma guy comes from a board that moves at the glacial pace of about one page a month and I want to make it easy for him to find me.  ;D

Wow Bluenote says Ice Bear hasn't been around long... there used to be a poster on this board named Touchdown Tomato Head that prided himself on bad karma... I think he had -35,000 and going strong but I heard he's a pizza delivery boy now and doesn't have time to post anymore. Sad!

Hello fans of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference!  I hope all of you are doing well and ready for a fun football weekend. While I prep for the upcoming North Central/WashU clash in the CCIW, I am also preparing to do a 33-hour run/walk next Saturday, October 29-30 for Rett syndrome awareness and research funding.  I would like to invite you to be a part of the quest to beat Rett once and for all!

Rett Gets Rocked 2022 will feature my solo attempt to reach 100 miles, and a 24-hour Rett Relay involving WashU students and other campus folks.  I will be on the indoor track in the Sumers Recreation Center, and the relay will be mainly outdoors at Francis Olympic Field.  Our aim is to raise $10,000 or more, to be split between the International Rett Syndrome Foundation (IRSF) and the Rett Spectrum Clinic in the WashU School of Medicine at St. Louis Children's Hospital.

This is my fifth year for a Rett Gets Rocked ultramarathon...over the previous four years, more than $20,000 have been raised.

Rett syndrome is a neurological disorder caused by a gene mutation in the brain.  It doesn't manifest itself until a child is just learning how to walk and talk, around 6-18 months old.  When it does, those basic abilities get taken away.  Many children end up in wheelchairs for the rest of their lives, and can't talk or even do sign language to communicate.  And, since it's a spectrum disorder, there are other things that are typical with Rett syndrome...frequent seizures, severe scoliosis, eating and drinking difficulties that require the insertion of a g-tube for nourishment, among other difficulties.  And, Rett doesn't care about one's family medical history, socioeconomic status or ethnic background.  It is an equal opportunity destroyer of lives and families.

There's no cure yet, but preclinical studies within the last year at UT-Southwestern in gene replacement therapy have resulted in reversing Rett in mice.  And, the FDA is giving a drug called Trofinetide a Priority Review, after clinical trials were very successful in reducing the severity and frequency of seizures, and restoring some of the function of the arms and legs.  On March 12, the FDA will make a final determination about Trofinetide and whether it becomes the first prescription drug specifically to treat Rett syndrome.

So, there is hope.  That propels me forward in my lunatic fringe interest in ultramarathon running.  You can join the fight for a cure without logging a mile.  The donation link to my IRSF Rett Racers donation page is https://rettracers.funraise.org/fundraiser/jay-murry.
Feel free to forward it to interested parties!

Many thanks for your time and consideration!  Have fun this weekend!

Best regards,

Jay Murry

Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Ice Bear says he's interested to see the numbers Rosten Roste and company will put up over the next couple weeks against the likes of the Scots and the Oles. Ice sees both as being clear cut W's and is wondering if Jaran will go ****ing Uncle Buck wild knowing his incredible career is getting closer to the end. Ice is hoping for no injuries for anyone in Royal Land in the coming weeks would like to see a healthy Royals team continue to build positive momentum towards what Ice believes could be a solid NCAA run if they can take it to the Johnnies again (which Ice knows will be a ****ing bitch to defeat the Jonathans twice in one season).
A long time fan of DIII Football!

Can't help but wish Carleton had a true bye week to rest up and give those nagging injuries time to heal. As a reminder, their bye was week 1 of the season so they are playing ten straight games.
