No, it was a priest. Can't remember his name. I got a B from Dr. D in statistics.  Those were both before rampant grade inflation. They would both probably be As today.

My favourite teacher at SJU was for accounting. I can't remember his name at the moment, it comes and goes, but he walked in on the first day and his first words were something like "I'll fail every one of you.  Don't care."  Loved that class.

One of the finest catches I have ever witnessed in person. In case you missed it, Alex Larson "Odelled" a ball today for a touchdown. I was as excited and amazed as the little kid in the red hoodie when Alex caught it.

Check out the little kid that comes running off the track when he sees Larson catch the ball.

With 3 receiving TDs today I believe he now also holds top spot for TEs. The remainder of this season plus a potential Covid year next and he may put hold that spot for a while.
Sitting at the game today I decided any third down situation that's over ten yards to go is now to be called 3rd and Larson.

Kind of interesting:
In 2021, SJU beat Bethel in Collegeville and then had to go to Arden Hills for the MIAC title game.

Further similarities- Bethel managing a win with the backup QB?

No no no, that is where the similarities diverge.

SJU dropped a spot to #5 in the new Top 25 Poll (Linfield moved up to 4). Bethel stayed at #9. Carleton is no longer receiving votes.

Pat Coleman

Linfield has been creeping up for a few weeks.

1) I can't argue with that.  Linfield has an unblemished record and has been rolling.
2) It's a poll that has no bearing on anything playoff-related.
3) I've been around D3 for quite a while.  From what I've seen this year, I am not convinced that SJU is a top 5 team.  That being said, they're absolutely going to beat the evil Baptists this weekend.  There is no team I hate more than Bethel.  >:(

Ice Bear says Bluenote certainly has his **** together here and Ice likes it. Ice agrees that at this point they have handled everything thrown their way and (like Ice says ad-****ing-nauseam) combined with the W over SJU last season, it's all but **** off and let Linfield purrrrrrrr until someone rips out their vocal cords...

D O.C.

So's LINFIELD, Ice Bear. At least it once was as Bluenote will attest.

Looks like a swap of points between Linfield and SJU from last week. UMHB had a decent point drop (-12) and Trinity saw a decent point increase (+8) amongst the top 10. This season has been a lot of up and down performances that has made figuring out how good a team is a bit more unpredictable. Should make for a good playoffs. Wouldn't be surprised to see a good team disappointed to be bounced sooner than expected because they had an off game at an inopprotune time.
