I'm not a fan of the music, except I don't mind "Shout" after the TD's.  Somehow, that fits.

Make the squirrel go away too.

But on another matter, who remembers how the streaming goes during the playoffs - I seem to remember they can't charge for it, per NCAA?  Anyone remember? Or is it same old, same old?  Or no video streaming at all, just audio? My memory is shot.

Streaming.  No charge.  But I also think that VOJ is not piped over the video so you need to run both streams and sync them.  No ads allowed, I suspect.

Thanks, that's sounding familiar.

Yeah, the NCAA has a rule prohibiting commercial video broadcasts during tournament games (or, stated another way, they zealously guard their exclusive commercial broadcast rights). I remember trying to sync the radio broadcast with the video years ago. For some reason I remember giving up because it was too much of a pain in the butt, and stuck with only the radio call.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Ice Bear

Ice expects a tough game from what appears to be a very solid Wheaton team. He hopes Rockin Roste is healthy enough to propel this O to score enough points and take pressure off of the D. Ice says this may be an excellent football game. Ice is hoping for a great game with no injuries for both teams. Ice says, "Let's go Royals!"

With the MIAC Fall sports season in the books, here's the Durenberger Trophy standings:

Sing us a song, you're the piano man

Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Does Sal's even still play Piano Man at closing time?

Pretty sure they do. They even changed the Sal's logo to incorporate two stick men with dropped trousers. Sounds like Dylan is either: a) a fan of the Middy, b) a fan of the La, c) someone that needs to get out a little more. ;)

Ha ha, nothing but the Middy or the American Legion for me these days. I get pretty excited shopping at the St. Joe Meat Market. I do need to get out more, but maybe my senior at SJU needs to get out even more than me?!?!

And, for those of you who are interested in the goings on of the womenfolk:

Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

I like to cue the radio broadcast about 10 seconds ahead of the video....that way I know when a big play is coming if I've ran to the fridge for an ice cold Hamm's!
Another hack is to put the game on two devices so you can watch a replay or get a replay of the replays!!!

I've been told that the VOJ radio call will be on the video this year but muting the commercials. Since they do a lot of live reads during the game, I don't know how they'll mute that effectively but what do I know?

Yes, that should be interesting.  VOJ never misses an opportunity to plug something/someone.  I hope they mute the inevitable 30+ Tim Bot Coaching plugs.

Interesting. That would be a tall task for a producer.

"Now, let's look to our [*three seconds of dead air*] stat sheet for first half stats, brought to you by [*six seconds of dead air*]."

Maybe VOJ agreed to use his cough button during all sponsor mentions?

Perhaps late to this party however last season v Linfield I used a Roku device and streamed the MIAC broadcast which delivered video stream and synched up with VOJ audio broadcast  :o

The Trinity bracket is a freaking murderer's row. It's been a while since I've seen a bracket so loaded with top ten teams. And, there's a top ten matchup in the first round between #6 Trinity and #9 Hardin-Simmons.

Who couldn't benefit from some executive coaching?!?

Every time I hear that plug I think to myself "How much f***ing money did Tim Bot pay WBHR for that airtime?"
