SJU v Northwestern game notes are out.  Yet again, the Johnnies are backs against the wall in the TOP battle.

EDIT: More importantly, Trost is named as a starter. I wouldn't be surprised to see him sit out this game, though.  He was two plays and finished against BU.  I'm not sure he's fit.
As will I be sitting on my couch in the warmth of my home. #2 arrives home from Madison right around kickoff.

Would the Johnnies break out the blue uniforms this Saturday? I feel like this weekend would be the only chance we see them until next year.

I doubt it...tradition and superstition run deep...but you never know.

I already gave my family the chance to back out, and they still want to come along.  Plenty of hand warmers, toe warmers, hot cocoa, and blankets will be the ticket!

A tradition unrivaled...

The reason I speculate that its a possibility is because as of now, it's a uniform that's only worn against UMAC teams and former UMAC teams.

I think they do it and I'd give 4/1 odds on it.

Agreed SagatagaSam; DSJU agrees to shake up the crowd Saturday and get the baby blues out, I would also add the red pants or go red on red.  Need to make Saturday interesting.  GoJohnnies

Nice. I need to replenish my stockpile before Saturday--will keep that in mind.  I'm half considering bringing a small propane heater.  :D

How far, realistically, does anyone foresee Bethel & St John's going?

SJU feels like a chance for a semifinal run. Bethel with a healthy Roste could have been similar, I think a first round exit is more likely than emerging from our quad right now. But I'd love to be proved wrong. If we got SJU game 1 Roste we could go toe to toe with anyone in our bracket. I'm just not sure we have the depth to survive the attrition that will be required to get through the Trinity pod though.

I'll disagree on Bethel. Even with a healthy QB, it would be an extremely small chance they get to the semi finals through Wheaton, Linfield, UMHB/Trinity. That bracket is a gauntlet.

I'm still going to push hard that the color of those uniforms be referred to as "Sagatagan Blue."

https://www.d3football.com/columns/around-the-nation/2022/playoff-surprises-disappointments —> predictions. Bethel gets a nod although that seems to hinge on the impact Roste can make. SJU also got a lot of love but with it comes expectations.
