Very nervous about Warburg next week. We have had problems with Iowa teams the last 20 years.

That loss at home against Coe back in 2007 or so was pure heartache.

We last faced Wartburg on the road in Waverly, Iowa on November 29th, 2014. We lost 21-10.

Sam Sura got hurt early and that was the difference. Lots of Johnnie fans at that game.

Wartburg is very good. They're a legit Top 10 team and honestly got a bit jobbed with their draw. Love that they just went out and took care of business.

Gutsy, at times thrilling at times ugly win for Bethel. D gave up some big plays and got gashed by Weeks (great rb) but also made big plays and got turnovers when they needed too. Totally different game plan today. I did not see 34 pts coming against a very good Wheaton D.

Roste was holding his arm like a chicken wing most of the game but looked a little healthier than last week. Hits didn't send him out. Hopefully he's a little bit more healthy again next week, we'll definitely need all our bullets!

I watched the wartburg game today-very good D, the offensive was ok-I think they are step below bethel-but I am sure it will be a close game given it is the playoffs.

Did Pat & Co. do bracket blitz last year?

I can't say it enough. I thought it was awesome.

And what a weekend of games to be bouncing back and forth from game to game!
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Ice Bear says Weeks is a beast. He says, well said hazzzzzzz as that kid deserves a ton of credit.

Ice also thought Roste showed some improved health with his runs today. Ice certainly bit down on his k9's each time he ran. Ice says hopefully this week he'll heal a bit more. Royals got it done against a very good Wheaton team IIBHO.

I've watched multiple games today. Zero buffering except St. John's. St. John's was the only one on Stretch. Something needs to change with St. John's streaming. Time to fire Stretch they've been given enough years to get it right. I suspect we're stuck with Stretch as the other platforms don't have the capability to charge. I don't have a beef with paying $10. But I expect a much better experience than I have been getting

A good game today.  SJU were a step above UNW but UNW never rolled over and quit.  They played hard despite the odds being so badly stacked against them.  They hit the Johnnies when our boys are firing on all cylinders.  The score does not reflect UNW's effort.

It was a great game for the Johnnies as they didn't get a straight roll over.  They had to keep the machinery oiled in order to play this one and that's good for us.  A big game next week and we'll really need to be ready to go.  Another gear is required.

Congrats to your boys on a game hard played, AO.  Commiserations on the double stomp.

Aurora upsets Whitewater! La Crosse lost to Wartburg. Does anyone know when the last time was that no WIAC school made it out of the 1st round?

Those top four scores on the d3football.com scoreboard, each in a different bracket, are looking ominous.

My folks said the first half was fine but had buffering problems in the second half.

That was scary.  If anyone hears an update, please share--no need to get to specific, it'd just be nice to know if the person is okay.

In all the excitement of a Johnnie win it might be good to put in some positive thoughts for a Johnnie fan who went down. Sounds like there might be a helicopter landing on the Abbey lawn.
