In all the excitement of a Johnnie win it might be good to put in some positive thoughts for a Johnnie fan who went down. Sounds like there might be a helicopter landing on the Abbey lawn.

Here's an update on Bill, the fan that had the medical emergency at Saturday's game.  Prayers for a full recovery!

MIAC awards are out.

Offensive POY - Roste (BU)
Defensive POY - Wozniak (SJU)
Stam - Jakes (GAC)
Rookie of the Year - Williams (BU)
Gagliardi COY - Fasching (SJU)

4 all-conference QBs (including Macalaster) + 1 honorable mention?  8 all-conference WRs + 3 honorable mention?   ::)

I reckon Fasching does a spectacular job but I'm a little surprised the Carleton coach didn't take COTY this season.  Also, how many players were named in total?  120?

EDIT:  Of course, Gagliardi famously made every senior a captain, so....  I wonder if Fasching continues that practice.

I also think Journell should've won it this year (or last year as some of you may recall)

Finally getting a chance to listen to the Podcast, and while doing so, this come across my feed. For those of you that may not ever heard of The Babylon Bee, it's a conservative satire site along the lines of The Onion. So I am sharing this headline and article because of the great annual "Festival of Non-thermostats" that we all enjoy in the fall, along with MIAC football. Hope some of you enjoy it...

That doesn't give me much info. But thank you.  ::)

BU has a defense good enough to keep them in most games against most sides.  They live or die by their superstar QB, Jaran Roste, who is just a year or two younger than yourself.

That's your basic scouting report.

+K Oz - got a good chuckle from this - thanx!

Well, it looks like the formula for success at a school with a Scot for a mascot has been established.

I'm about to be very scared if Phil Nicolaides at Macalester dons a kilt.

Big news!

Whoa! Did not see that coming!

I wonder if this was a "you can resign or we will fire you" kind of situation. I would be pretty disappointed in UWW if that's the case. Bullis was trying to fill the shoes of a once-in-a-lifetime kind of coach.

Ice Bear says he hopes not Sagatag. He too would be quite disappointed if this was the case. Ice says best of luck to Bullis and best of luck to Rub A Dub moving forward.

Maybe a UWW booster supplied a golden parachute like you hear at D1 schools.

Bullis was an associate head coach during at least a portion of Liepold's tenure.  He was also Defensive Coordinator so the idea that he wasn't prepared to be a head coach is nonsense.  No one from Mount Union was a finalist for the HC job.  Finalists included Bullis, Rob Erickson, Dave Traynor, Erik Raeburn and Dean Paul.  I know for certain that Liepold offered Bullis the opportunity to go to Buffalo with him and Bullis declined.  His retirement has nothing to do with this season and/or any perceived decline in the WARHAWKS football program.  Some of us have been waiting for the announcement.

Voluntary retirement, IceBear--at least according to badgerwarhawk.

Both Roste and Wozniak are Gagliardi trophy finalists.  Congrats to those boys.

I haven't followed the season anywhere near close enough to know who the two or three favourites for the award are.

EDIT:  I'm going for Nate Palmer from Utica.  He's majoring in criminal intelligence analysis.  He's putting it all out there that he'll being doing that criminal intelligence.  I guess the Mob is going up market these days.  Data and analytics really are permeating all aspects of society.
