How does Bethel, STJ, GA, and other members of MIAC look after this season. I know bethel loses their QB and had a lot of seniors from this years team. Will there be a big fall off? Does STJ return a lot next year?

I personally think Bethel will be down a bit.  Roste will be hard to replace, and Bethel has historically, had a few rebuliding years after graduating "elite" classes such as this year's.

I think SJU will be in good shape.  On offense: QB returns, several talented receivers return, much of the o-line returns.  Top RB graduates, but he was limited by injuries this season, and 2-3 other RBs that saw quite a few snaps return.  They lose a couple receivers, but that is a position they're quite deep at.  On defense: They lose 2 all-region linemen and an all-region DB.  There will be some question marks to start the season, but I think they'll rebuild just fine.  The kicker returns--59/60 on PATs and 8/9 on FGs.

Yeah, I think some graduations on defense will be a challenge.  But it seems that monster DLs or LBs always seem to crop up at SJU.  I'll also be interested to see how the o-line goes next year.  Alex Larson has said he's coming back for another season, right?  Yes, AirJohnnie will be strong again.

I also think BU will be down a bit - Roste is clearly not "replaced" by anyone, though whoever it is, Bolt or otherwise, will have all of the receivers back, as well as Geebli, who emerged as the best running back, despite being a freshman.  Hazz would have a better analysis around the rest of the team.

Difficult to see them being knocked off as the #2 in the MIAC, but probably not playoff run capable.  Maybe good enough to give SJU a game in one of the assumed 2 matchups, if it came to that, and if they're doing the championship again next year?

SJU seemed like it was a run-game away from being a deep playoff threat this year, so if they can get something going there, they will be a tough out.

Even with a few less TOs versus Warty, semis would have been very reachable.

Lots of accolades for BU and SJU in the All region squads - and Roste is Offensive Player of the year with Coach Johnson named Coach of the year. And to top it all off, Roste is also a Gagliardi finalist!

Ice Bear ****ing agrees with this. Ice says they may still be the 2nd best team in the Mighty ****ing MIAC but to Ice, he says its going to look different from this year and IIBHO the ceiling will be lower. Ice says this was a completely different team with Rockin Roste out. Ice hopes Bolt gets at it imm-****ing-mediately to improve his throwing and ability to read defenses here in the off season. Ice says this is no knock on the kid, but ice hopes he has that intrinsic motivation to grow and take advantage of the potential opportunity he'll have next season. Ice also expects to see a lot more of Gobbling Up Yards Geebli next season. Ice loved how much the Bat**** Baptist Royals committed to the run this season. Ice is sure part of the reason for the success of Baptists running ****ing wild all over the field was the fact that defenses had to account for Roste on every snap. Ice says Geebs blew him away this season and bets, at least out of the gate, much of the O will focus on him to start next season.

Ice still has a lot to learn about the D. He'll look into that ****.

Wozniak named to the Allstate Good Works team. Also saw a Bethel player (sorry, didn't commit to memory) made it. As well as UMU and Hopkins named. I think that was all the D III representation. I'm sure Pat will have it up on the site soon.
