NCC seems to be playing on another level this year.  I expect a comfortable win for them.

Yep!!!
Kicking the piss out of Mount.

Johnnies need a better o-line a running back even half as good as Sura.

Not sure why people hate on Mount.  I don't think any of those kids even have a ring.  NCC has been more dominant in recent years.

That was a fun game.  NCC seemed to control it, but Mount kept clawing their way back into it.  Greenfield is ridiculous, and Lehnen is just so fast and dangerous in space!

A tradition unrivaled...

Haven't won since 2017. So that would be only two classes of seniors that haven't gotten a ring: '21 and '22.

Covid Sr's change the math. This is the first class that wasn't around in 2017.

Before D3 Football posts the final top 25, I'll take a stab at the top 10 (or so) to see how close I am...

1. North Central
2. Mount Union
3. Wartburg
4. UMHB
5. Bethel
6. Aurora
7. Delaware Valley
8. Ithaca
9. St. John's
10. Trinity
11. Linfield

Top 8 spots above were the final 8 teams standing - so others may believe that some of those teams "had an easy road to get there" and want to choose another team that get ejected earlier from the tourney in spots 5 through 8. It'll be interesting to see how the pundits choose.

Merry Christmas all!

For myself, I'm not a "hater" per se. I liken it to when the Dallas Cowboys were "America's Team" back in the late 70s and early 80s. You loved them, or you just wanted anybody else to beat them. I fall into that camp. Rooting for the underdog, et al. I imagine there are some real haters of Mount Union out there because of things that happened on the field over the years. I'm just happy to see them lose, and somebody else gets to sit on the top for a spell.

Not sure why you would think Bethel is #5 above SJU. They split the season series, with the Johnnies having the point spread advantage. (I know Roste was out in the Championship game for a while), The Johnnies barely lost to Wartburg, who you have at #3, as does d3. Wartburg almost beat #2 UMU. Bethel had 3 losses, SJU 2. I would have put the Johnnies at #5. I know I may be biased, but I just gave my objective reasons above. But, in the end, it really matters little.

The whole thing is rigged. SJU split time of possession in both games against Bethel. If that isn't the most definitive stat in a football game, then I guess I've been wrong about everything football related for my entire life.

My understanding is that SJU's early season abusive advancement of a kick after someone else waved for a fair catch was what knocked them down.

Would write more, but have to run and put the snow tires on my corvette.
