Random question, any other motorcycle riders on the board?

I just bought a Vulcan 1600 Mean Streak. Figured I'd ask and see if we could add cycle chatter to the list of Hamms/Beer, hunting/fishing, furnace fortitude, and Ausie Rules FB.  8-)

I used to ride a motorcycle. I married a Bennie that got a job as a nurse in ICU. After a few years, she persuaded me to get rid of it because motorcycle riders are what employees in ICU call "business." On a nice spring day, I really do miss riding. I still keep my endorsement when I renew my driver's license, I just can't let it go.

PANIC IN MELBOURNE!!!!

Mrs Oz tells me with a genuine and serious tone to her voice that the local Facebook group says a red-bellied black snake has been spotted at the local park where we walk the dog and IT HASN'T BEEN CAUGHT YET!!!1!!!1!!

I say the chances of said snake actually being in the park, having travelled 25 miles from the bush and across freeways, highways, busy roads and urban jungle to be only slightly less than my chances of taking the field for Hawthorn next year.  This is why I don't Facebook.  I manage to find enough drama is real life.  I don't need the digital endorphin booster.

I own a 2003 Anniversary Edition Harley-Davidson Road King Classic.  Just returned from a 3300+ mile (NO highways), two week trip from Virginia down to Key West and back by way of the Florida panhandle and through Maggie Valley, NC up the Blue Ridge Parkway.  No words can fully describe the feeling of riding for me. But I feel like the sights and sounds of the road are so much more amplified when you're riding.  Colors are brighter, sounds are more vivid, the scenery is breathtaking.   I've only been doing it for 20 years, but my husband got me into it and he has been riding since 1966.  You do the math...

I have a Trek 7.2 FX.  ;)

Same! 2011 model, so I'm pretty dated at this point, but it gets to and from the park / playground just fine.

2011 model.

That's probably about the same age as mine.  I had to put a few hundo into it last year, but when I looked at what they're charging for a new one, I decided to just get this one tuned up.

Are any of you coming down for the SJU UWW game on Sept. 9th? Whitewater has deemed that alumni day, so there will be a large group of former players there, along with the expected crowd for such a high profile game. I actually might make my first SJU UWW game since being on this board

Not sure yet.  It's not my favorite drive, but I'll see what's going on.
