I have to admit that the Auggies have some rockstar quality names at QB.   In terms of name quality, I reckon those rival Brett Favre.  What would be the perfect QB name?
Sonny Sixkiller. Real guy, played for Washington Huskies in the 70's.

Ding! Sonny Sixkiller is awesome!

I'm old enough to remember him; he was pretty good at Washington. He even had a bit part in the original version of The Longest Yard.
As to good names, the Panthers recently signed a UDFA at linebacker named Bumper Pool.

101 days until the start of MIAC Football!

Teams should be reporting to camp in 80 days (+/-)!
Had a dream last night I was in Collegeville for a game. We were down 21-0 to the Auggies.  :o

Was Ayrton Scott the QB for Augsburg?

Strike that--was Marcus Brumm the QB? He's the one that beat SJU in Collegeville on homecoming in 2011.

That one still stings.

I was thinking about posting the highlight video from Youtube, however, I don't check in often anymore. With all due respect to SJU fans, I decided not to and allow that scab to heal.

Yeah, you'd better not.  YouTube doesn't have enough server space to host all the highlights of SJU drubbing Auggie Tech . :o

A tradition unrivaled...

Ah, he had a memorable bit in that movie.  A funny scene in a movie fully of lolz.

Luckily for us, it can be distilled to a single image.

We had better be careful. The Auggies are due. They beat SJU once every 10.6 years, and we are headed into year #10. Dangerous territory historically.

Pretty good podcast - finally finished listening to it. The Johnnies get mentioned near the end about their opening game with Trinity.

A sad day.  The Iron Sheik has died age 81.

EDIT:

Heh.  I just skimmed the AWA's wiki page. Man, I remember watching AWA on a weekend broadcast in Grand Rapids out of Duluth on channel ten, I think.  The characters they had wrestling back when the AWA was the king of the hill. Good stuff.
