RE: Preseason All-Americans

Trinity is coming into Collegeville with LB Caleb Harmel (First Team), KR B.J. Stewart (First Team), and QB Tucker Horn (Second Team).

Interesting angle.  I see that Wartburg has 1 First Team LB, 1 Second Team RB, 2 Second Team DL, and 1 Second Team safety.

I'm heartened to see that D3FB hasn't gone the MIAC route with honor teams, and had ~12 first team quarterbacks.

Nah.  I think they generally don't post a roster till the end of the first week or so.

Any intel on the Johnnies? Hoping they put in the work to continue improving during the offseason & will be prepared to make a statement with their play in the massive challenge that the first 3 games to open the season present! Excited for the season to begin!

EDIT: As a side note, when I took a knee at practice (in high school) all those years ago and the coaches remained standing, I always thought it was a status thing.  Players kneel, coaches stand.   Now that I've aged like a fine wine, I realise it's because players kneel and coaches groan and moan as they try to get back up again with sore knees, sore backs, aches and pains.

Also be sure to check out Andy Rennecke. He's writing for St Cloud Live and already has a couple stories posted about the Jays. It will be nice to have more coverage of the team. Andy used to write for the SC Times but their coverage of Johnnies all but disappeared the last few years.

Duff Jr. reports to 6th grade football camp on Monday. 

Dropped my oldest off for the start of HS (9th Grade) Two-A-Days this morning. Surreal feeling. I can still remember my own excitement, nerves, etc. when I was in his shoes. Strangely one of the most visceral memories is of my socks being wet from the morning dew and how annoying it was the rest of the day. That and the joy of water breaks at the "PVC pipe with drilled holes" water dispenser on the scorchers. I'd seen the college guys do it for years when my dad would take me to watch a practice or two each year during camp as a kid. The PVC water trough just seemed like the way football men were supposed to get their water!
