Wonder what they'll charge per game/season/sport?

It says: "Member schools will have the ability to monetize their livestreams and keep every fan connected to their teams..."

I would venture a guess that SJU's fees will remain the same.

This has got to be better than Stretch, no?

Hudl/Blue Frame has done well at this level over the past couple of years. We use them for the D3hoops.com Classic, in fact.

I don't know that anything with the interest level of a St. John's football game has been included, but the WIAC was on this network last year and they handled UWW games just fine. UWW in particular needed to be on an external provider, because the campus server they used to use was not keeping up.

Maybe there was enough benefit running everything through the conference that they don't need the fees anymore?

Ha!  Good one.

I'll be here all year. Tip your bartender!

Dropped my oldest off for the start of HS (9th Grade) Two-A-Days this morning. Surreal feeling. I can still remember my own excitement, nerves, etc. when I was in his shoes. Strangely one of the most visceral memories is of my socks being wet from the morning dew and how annoying it was the rest of the day. That and the joy of water breaks at the "PVC pipe with drilled holes" water dispenser on the scorchers. I'd seen the college guys do it for years when my dad would take me to watch a practice or two each year during camp as a kid. The PVC water trough just seemed like the way football men were supposed to get their water!

Ice is wishing your son a great season Duff. That had to be surreal and nostalgic as **** for you dropping him off. Ice sighs, burps up some seal reflux and quietly whispers "...how fast life goes by."

Did anyone else have a "Soap Scrimmage" ... where you donated bars of soap for the team to use in the showers, as an entrance fee to watch the game?

Uh, nope.

Heh.

Lo and behold, the app is available on appletv in overseas markets.  A minor miracle.  It also let me create an account and watch the swimming and diving championships.  The setup tests out so far.

The MIAC Sports Network is simply a hosting platform. It replaces Stretch Internet. Each institution still produces the broadcasts themselves on campus.

Carleton has 23 freshmen listed. Oddly enough only one of them is from Minnesota. Usually there's a handful.

Also looks like they lose a lot of starters from last year's 7-3 team.

I am a huge fan of these streaming "networks" that many conferences have set up.  I think most of them are partnered with Blueframe.  The interfaces are clean and intuitive, they aren't littered with ads, I very rarely have buffering issues with them.  I've got a bunch of these "channels" set up on a Roku device which I use as my featured screen when streaming games from all corners of D3 on Saturdays.  I'll have to add the MIAC channel to the collection today!

Looks like Augsburg has about 60 or more newcomers, including first-year players, and transfers. Seems like Lamker is moving the program in the right direction.  :)

Interesting.  That's the size of the incoming Johnnie class.  AUG may be ramping up for some showtime.

Oh? I was wondering what size incoming classes you see at SJU. In Lamker we trust; he knows what it takes to win in the MIAC, coach up his players, and recruit. We'll see!

Am I that transparent???  ;D

Actually, Duff Jr. did a camp with Auggie great Orlando Ponce this week.  My opinions of Augsburg aside, Ponce is a fantastic coach, and I've enjoyed every interaction I've ever had with him.

A tradition unrivaled...
