What a game-probably in the top for me at SJU-maybe only behind Simpson game.
You gotta be careful taunting everyone as you leave the field for half time-still have a half to play-and an amazing half for SjU.
I think 57 would have run out of popcorn.

Anyone that paid for the video stream needs to message the athletic department and the university president. Can't charge people $15 and not have a quality product...embarrassing.

I will say I've long wished SJU would look at the community college ranks more. I say that as a proud community colleger (is that a word? I don't know, I went to CC.) who transferred in my junior year. There are a lot of great players at the JUCO level, in all sports (Minnesota especially has some really good football teams each year, such as Rochester). And those schools have plenty of guys who are strong enough academically to transfer in, but financially couldn't pull off SJU for four years. One issue for those transfers could be adjusting to being an outsider in your junior year. I had some of that, since SJU is so big on building those bonds for students (we played games together at orientation!...or whatever), especially in the freshman year. But if it's a kid coming for football, it'll be easier to find a connection in a crowd of 200 -- and no problem at all if you can play.

I've *always* said that sfury guy knew what he was talking about when it came to the Showtime Lakers, New York City or junior college transfers.

With senior wide receivers Nick VanErp (hip) and Jimmy Buck (knee) out with injuries in the second half, SJU transfer wide receiver Marselio Mendez rose to the occasion.

The junior college transfer from the North Dakota State College of Science caught 14- and 32-yard TD passes from Syverson to cut the Trinity lead to 31-28. Mendez, a Cretin-Derham Hall grad, didn't arrive in Collegeville until this summer.

The speedster had five catches for 55 yards, all coming in the second half.

Assuming Wartburg handles their business against Monmouth, will St John's move up to #4 in the next poll? Now anxious to see if we get dialed in, clean up what we need to, & how we'll look on the road at Whitewater? Seeking our first ever win there & first trip back to Whitewater since Erdmann was under center in December '19.
