According to the box score, Augsburg was 5-15 on third down, 5-7 (!!!) on fourth down.

I agree...give Augsburg credit the had a game plan and executed it well. Their o-line and running game dominated us. If we don't find a way to clog the running game and actually create one for ourselves our boys might be home for thanksgiving dinner.
Our running attack is pathetic...I get spreading out the formation creates mismatches and the short passing game in essence becomes your running game...but once in a while it would be nice to just pound the ball and we haven't been able to do that in years.

I was up north all last week and this weekend so I could not watch the game. I found it on the MIAC Network channel, watched some of it and I agree. The camera person does need some direction. Please.

No doubt the Johnnies need to improve their interior line play on both sides of the ball, but I haven't heard much about the penalties.  Ten penalties, and over half were on third and long or fourth down extending Augsburg drives leading to scores.  Absolutely need to be more disciplined.

Oh, absolutely the penalites were atrocious.  That could have very likely given AT the ballgame.

On the flip side, what was up with AT's complete lack of PATs?  Brutal.

Interesting common opponent comparisons with SJU soundly beating Bethel, but barely beating Augsburg....Augsburg needing a minor miracle to beat GAC, BU needing a minor miracle to beat GAC...

I noticed that Call was listed as the starter in the game notes, but Bolt got the start for BU...was Call sick, or injured in a late week practice or something?

It also looks like Kidder did not play. Assuming injuries or illness, Bethel has been dealt an unfortunate hand trying to get their offense in rhythm.
