BDB reasoning with his family.  He knows he isn't going to win, he just doesn't want to be among the first to give in.

The Bethel crew does not appreciate this frivolous humour.  Not.  In.  The.  Least.

CON men thinking, "These fools don't even know what cold is."

Auggies say, "We're urbanites.  Our concerns are much more sophisticated."

And, finally, someone from Carleton shows up thinking we all want to know how the tilt of the earth coupled with its distance from the sun combine to make the winters so cold.

Just got my boat winterized today. The furnace will wait.

My AC is still on.  I needed it a few nights ago.  At my office I had put my soda in the fridge to keep it from freezing.  I think the last recorded temperature in the office was around 60*.

The wife turned on the furnace the other day. It's not a big deal, I just now turned off the sprinkler system.

duffman taking care of the thermostat early to make sure his family don't steal a victory.

This one is fantastic!

Still no furnace here- 66 this morning, like many of the previous ones, but with no prospect of the sun to warm it up  I'm guessing tomorrow will be the day I'm issued a directive to warm the house up.

Already back up to a cozy 65F in the house this morning. Got kids sleeping with an extra blanket and got my hoodie on to work.

My team can't win the MIAC anymore but I can still win the last-furnace competition.

65 in Casa de DuffMan.  I've got a pot of chili on the stove, the Mrs. is in Iowa, and temps are looking to rebound a bit next week.  Still the master of my domain for the foreseeable future!
