Route is in at UWW.

Looks like a tough day for the Royals. Doesn't feel good now but I think when looking back, looking at what the Royals had this season and with a big L to SJU, it was an accomplishment to get the the NCAA's. I think there was a low ceiling and they met it. To me, it's almost fair to say they came MUCH closer to overachieving than underachieving. Which I'll take all day. It's going to be very interesting to see what next season looks like minus Steve J.

I think defensively for Bethel the game was closer than the score. UWW was mostly stonewalled in the first half (aside from a couple QB runs and one long run from Thomas) forcing them to pass. The passing game worked out w multiple big plays. UWW did what they had to, but Bethel played better than the score imo.

Congrats to Steve Johnson on an illustrious career.  He took a perennial doormat and turned them into the 2nd best team in the MIAC.  ;)

The NCAA selection committee has to be incompetent.

Somehow i think sju would have scored more than 7 against Aurora
Would we have given up more than 20?

Maybe...always have had shootouts against Aurora...shoulda, woulda, coulda as they say.

Aurora is quick and well coached but that QB is nowhere near the kid that gave SJU fits.

@Ryan. I believe you left out the part where you sued first, for a crazy amount of money and damages. The SID made a mistake, and they tried to discuss. You can't go scorched earth and then complain when they disengage from the nonsense. Agree it didn't have to get here. But the insanity of your initial lawsuit played a part. There's blame to go around.

We enforced our license, $50 per image per use, and sent them an invoice.

They then told us to pound sand, lied in the statements they made to us, and refused to take our calls.

We have not filed a suit on the school.

They put 3,196 photos of ours for sale, sold many, pocketed the money, and when they admitted it refused to return that money to us.

So... who's the bad guy here?

[Edit]
I'll gladly clear up all the misinformation and rumor being spread on this. The only times we've held detail back was while we were trying to sit down to come to a resolution with the school and they were dodging their responsibility. Once those attempts were fully exhausted we started publishing the name of the school that stole from us and on July 1, 2023, we dropped their name from our website completely – five years after they told us to buzz off and banned us from their campus.

Aurora started a freshman backup QB today after their starter went down last week. No idea the injury but if Aurora's starter is in that lineup, they can score on anyone.

So like the blues brother defense-we thought they were like Complimentary.

That and well 10 combined turnovers made the game very sloppy. AU had 4, Coe had 6.

It doesn't have to be, but it sure is.

Already two national championships for the MIAC today. Carleton women take their first national title in cross country and Fiona Smith from St. Ben's dominated the individual

Congrats!  Looks like the Oles also had a strong performance today at the meet. Ole Soccer advanced to the the final 4 today.

Since we got embarrassed by Whitewater, but thumped Bethel, I'd prefer to see Bethel win, however I don't think Bethel has chance.

I'm afraid that UWW is going to expose the MIAC
The MIAC did not deserve 2 in the playoffs this year. Learning from your f&C|% ups usually sticks with the subconscious a bit longer, hopefully lesson learned.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Congrats to all.  Heck of an achievement.

Here's a nice post-race interview with Fiona Smith, who set a new DIII record, breaking the 20-minute mark.

On AO's original post - UNW volleyball has been on an incredible run for a number of years - I can't say that I've been to any games, but I do check their scores now and then and will certainly be looking to see how their post-season run goes this year.
Getting way ahead of myself here, but if the seeds hold up, Northwestern and Bethel could both be eliminating a Whitewater team on Saturday.
It took a pretty massive comeback (down 0-2, survived 6 match points) but we did eventually send Whitewater back to Wisconsin without the regional championship.  On to LA for the elite eight.

It's been a pretty impressive season for them this year, that's for sure. It's been fun watching them play the few times I made it over for matches.
