Well, Bethel got a new head coach. Guess that's sorta news worthy. I think Coach Mac is a great fit, emerging from a really strong applicant pool.

Quote from: faunch on February 20, 2024, 03:34:27 PMOk...let's get right into it....how many starters does Wartburg return for the 2024 and campaign and specifically the Sept. 14 game in Collegeville.

Looking forward to visiting Collegeville again! I provided a short update on the ARC board regarding Wartburg returning players if interested.  Can you provide a similar summary for St Johns?  Should be a great non-conference game!

Ah, it's good to be back. Thanks, Pat. And apologies again for the rudeness on Twitter.

Can't believe I missed you degenerates, but I did.
Thanks Pat for working through the issues.

Coach Mac is a great fit and was the natural successor. Will be interesting to see if he can continue to call the defense as head coach. I'm curious who were other candidates, if known?

It's a shame that Bartch didn't get a Super Bowl ring this year.  I hope he is retained by SFO.  It's a contract year for him, coming off the rookie deal.  A big cutoff point for many players.

Glad the board is back up and running!

Ntense Obono from Carleton is transferring. Bit peculiar as I believe he's transferring before his senior year, right on the cusp of getting his degree. Carleton returns almost every starter on offense and defense, but his loss will be felt.

Not sure if non-SJU people saw this, but Syverson is returning at QB for SJU this season.  I'm glad to have a tested QB but can't help but feel for those those guys (Dittbenner, Downs) who are in line behind him.  I, for one, will be happy when all the "COVID years" are behind us.

Hello everyone-like back to the beginning -we all like each other-no negatives. No bagels for the Wartburg game please.

I have moved feelings on Aaron returning. IMO he was our MVP...the entire offense ran through him. I know some Johnnie fans weren't always happy with his play which i don't understand.
He can really throw all sorts of balls.

I was wondering if Dittbenner was moved up to starter if we would see more of an RPO style of offense. The two teams in the Stagg Bowl both had quarterbacks that were multi-dimensional.

Offense won't be our issue next year....we need to be tougher on defense. The good offenses we played against last year had their way with us.

Pretty wild that there is outdoor baseball being played at SJU this afternoon!

In '91 we got a little over three feet of snow on Halloween night.  The school actually stopped classes for a day or two.  Dominos even stopped delivery.  We were fortunate that the cafeteria workers managed to get to campus somehow or we would have all mummified in the underclass dorms waiting for someone to feed us.
