Good stuff Art. Maybe I'm over thinking this, but reading the article and seeing your team, reminds me that our schools are filled with really good young men and women. There's a lot of doom and gloom out there today. Yet I think the average American, or MIAC student for that matter, gives us a lot to look forward to. Keep it up sir!

Some key transfers are sprinkled in, but the biggest question for Bethel will be QB. The other pieces are there, but they need someone who can take advantage of a great WR corps and prevent D's from stacking the box against Geebli and Co.

I noticed that Alex Call isn't on the roster they have posted at the moment...actually only 2 QB's listed!  Hoping it isn't another season like last year, with a lot of pieces in place, but being throttled back quite a bit by the QB position.

Either way, that's no longer the case as their All-American Obono entered the transfer portal. Not sure where he ended up.

He's still listed on the roster and the football Twitter feed posted something about his internship ~10 days ago.  I think he might have not found what he was looking for at the D1 level.

Bugger.  The Hawks lost to Greater Western Sydney by two points.  Gotta win the final three games of the season to make the finals now.

Well that will help the on-field product

Not sure on Call's status, his brother is still listed at DB. I did hear a rumor that an SJU QB recently transferred to Bethel. My sources in the Kremlin (aka Collegeville) have yet to confirm or deny.

With 13 QBs on last year's roster, only one of which was listed as a senior, it would not be surprising at all to see some guys looking for a better opportunity.  Could it be someone who was going to be a superstar at D1* UST?

*Non scholarship, or as I like to refer to it. Faux D1.

Never too early to talk about hunting or shooting sports. I need to carve out some time to do deer stand tune up. You never want to be too close to the season when doing routine maintenance.

I don't know many who hunt doves in MN--sounds like a great time, though.  I do have a dove sitting on a nest in my yard.  ;)

Dove hunting in Texas is a national holiday!  The jokes really do write themselves. Basically sitting under a tree and shooting a shotgun while drinking with your buddies. I've got one dove hunt trip that has bar sponsors.

I've been working on my bow, and I need to shoot my muzzleloader. They just opened a new area for public hunting near me that allows deer hunting with archery and muzzleloaders/shotguns.

The accuracy of muzzleloaders have improved dramatically over the past 20 years. They are basically a single shot rifle with the right set up and right person pulling the trigger.

I bought a CVA Accura about a year ago. It's been bore sighted at 50, but I haven't shot it yet. Was planning to use it where I was deer hunting last December, but the ranch required centerfire rifles with scopes. Got invited to take some older does off the ranch. Nice place with some axis deer and oryx.
