Basically, you get a card that tracks your "usage".  Walk up to the wall, swipe your card, and pour whatever beer you'd like.  Every few beers, you have to have an "ambassador" reset your account so they can ensure that you're not going overboard.  ;)

And if you don't know how to pour or the taps are full of air you might end up paying for some foam. If this happens they usually have someone working that will tip your beer off in the house. The self pour places are great in that they allow you to sample a bunch of different styles of drinks. Many know have beer, seltzers, wine and even premixed cocktails like an old fashioned.

FFS, they'll soon have us drinking beer like we're in a pod from The Matrix.  I know I've made my career "digitally transforming" across the Asia Pacific (and now AI!! You better buy some.  Quick!), but this is a step too far.  Pubs are analogue.  I refuse to budge.

Don't give the knuckleheads out there any ideas.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

I just read (unionpalooza posted this on the LLPP) that MHB has 245 players coming to camp. What are camp numbers like for MIAC schools? I'd imagine they differ from school to school. 245 seems like a ton to me.

I believe I heard low 190s for SJU, but they're generally the most, by a large margin.  245 is crazy.

At the luncheon yesterday, Gary said there were 184 players in camp.  59 freshmen and 11 transfers.
He also announced Jerry Haugen has retired from coaching football and will continue to coach baseball.
Reusse had a series of tweets about the announcement last night.

It's a lot.

Largest I ever saw was a few years ago when Methodist had 280. Talk about football driving enrollment!

Wow! I had not heard that.  I know he'd been considering it for a while now.

Someone messaged me that heard from someone in attendance that it was "awkward."
A few weeks back Duff shared that he heard there was some "unrest"'in the SJU athletic department. Wondering if this was part of that?

I didn't detect any "reaction" from the luncheon crowd.  Gary made the announcement after introducing the coaches and moved on.

I think Reusse's comment on X told the story.  If you want to be a contender in baseball, it's a year-round commitment.  The baseball program needs a full-time head coach, focused on baseball.
