Last night on Football Weekly WBHR The Bear, Gary did confirm to VOJ that Cooper Drews out of Princeton H.S. did in fact transfer to Bethel and appears to have a very good chance to be the starting QB for the Royals.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

No insider info, but one has to think the junior transfer from UMary would maybe have a leg up from "experience" perspective. However, let all of them battle it out. New OC and new offense so everyone should be on equal footing on learning the scheme. Will be interesting to see how the QB position plays out this year for Bethel.

Looking forward to seeing if the D is improved this year-with playoff expansion we don't need to die with each game!

A spectacular Hawthorn victory over the Bulldogs in front of 97k screaming fans last night at the G in the first round of the Finals.  The first half was the fastest, cleanest, closest contest I had seen all year in any game. And in the second half the Hawks ran over the Dogs. The short highlights don't do justice to the gameplay, but it's all we've got.

Now we travel to Port Adelaide to take on the Power. I'll road trip it with #2 if we can get some tickets, which will be red hot items.

Don't forget to watch the CSB competitive dance team tomorrow during halftime. Look for a red head with killer dance moves (that she learned from her dad) making her Clemens Stadium debut. Should be even more exciting than the Coborn's grocery cart race.

Auggies are in a dogfight with NAIA Valley City State. Auggies down 24-14 with 2 minutes left in game.

Augsburg kept the game close until the 4th Quarter. Due to an injury to the starter, the backup QB came in for the Auggies in the 2nd qtr and moved them down the field for a TD but VCS took over in the last half of the 4th qtr and sealed the win with an interception. Iron Sharpens Iron is what the wrestlers say so hopefully this test will sharpen up the Auggies for the rest of the season.
