Quote from: hazzben on September 26, 2024, 03:33:00 PMStat that may interest only me. Jung for BU has now been named to the D3 TOTW 5 times if I'm reading things correctly. All time best are a handful of guys who had 6 or 7 weekly honors.

Jung is only a redshirt sophomore  :o

:o , This certainly interests me as well. Wow!

Some bad news out of the Sagatag household. Let's just say that I, as the keeper of the thermostat, am not happy.

Sunday night I flew to Las Vegas for a week-long work conference. I returned late last night just before midnight. Everything seemed in order, or so I thought.

However, on the way to bed to rest my weary traveler head, I walked past the thermostat to discover that it had been changed from the "Cool only" setting to "heat and cool" (within certain parameters). The furnace was not running (it was 72 in the house). Now, I have no proof that the heat was actually used.

Duff, as reigning champion and keeper of the Thermostat RulesTM, I would ask for your ruling on my situation and whether not I am disqualified from competition for the year. Anyone else may chime in as well. I'm embarrassed at my situation. I didn't even know my wife knew how to run the thermostat.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

I think BDB, as commish, needs to rule.

I'm reeling a bit here.  It hasn't even been cold yet!  ;D

I was out taking a walk with my wife a couple days ago and she remarked, "Wow, it's actually hotter out here than it is in the house". I replied that that had been the case for the past few months. This warm September is really throwing people off I guess.

It could be 100+ & humid as hell & my wife would still consider it cool.

Anyone wanting to take a swing at what the outcome of tomorrow's matchup between St John's & Bethel will be? I'm hoping St John's looks sharp! No doubt Bethel will give us all they've got!

OMG, we're watching the gameshow "The Floor" on Fox, and Ryan Hoag is a contestant.  His listed profession is "tennis pro".

:o I always thought his claim to fame was as a jilted suitor on The Bachelorette and/or a teammate of Frank Rickard. A few years back I saw him on Twin Cities TV commercials for Ribnick Furs.....

Ha! Yeah, I remember those commercials, too.  He naturally slipped in that he was drafted and played in the NFL.

We're finally into conference play and have five cross divisional games, one of which is
the final night game in the MIAC this year. It's going to be a wonderful day to play
football in MN this time of year.

1. Let's start with that night game which has St. Olaf (2-0) coming up to Macalester (0-
2). The zeros should stay put in these team's records.

2. St. Scholastica travels up to Moorhead to play Concordia. Both teams are currently 1-
1, and the Cobbers should end the day 2-1.

3. Gustavus (1-1) comes up to the cities to take on Augsburg (1-1). Still early in the
season and anything can happen, but I suspect the Gusties will walk away with the win.

4. Carleton (1-1) also travels up to the cities to take on Hamline (2-0). At the end of the
game, both teams should have the same record at 2-1.

5. GOTW – St. John's at Bethel is the only game between undefeated teams this week.
The Johnnies should win this one, as the Royals are still figuring out their identity under
their new head coach. It'll be a good game, that's for certain.

Wishing the Royals all the luck today in this great matchup. Unfortunately I will be in Glens Falls/Queensbury, NY at my oldest daughter's volleyball tournament. I'll be following.

He's gotten more mileage out of that than a 6.7L Ford Power Stroke Diesel Engine......a lot!

Game day, by which I of course mean a 9:30 softball game (with at least one more to follow) and a noon football game for the Duff Jrs.

Go Johnnies!
